Re: Tales of Home [4]
Well, lawyers are thaught to look at rules from a ethical point of view as well as a legal one these days. (Though a lot might pretend to not remeber. )
It was pretty unfair, if not quite up to the standards of cheating. But I don't think those grades meant all that much in the great scheeme of things.

But we don't really need to go on about my more or less ethical career in movie making when Norc has made a great one properly. It is a lot more impressive anyway, so why not talk about that instead.
I do wonder that noone has commented on the moustache. It's great.

Speaking of which, we are still waiting for the next Movember installment, Norc

Re: Tales of Home [4]
Probably a good idea.
Though that does remind me I still have quite a few to get myself.
Well, that's something to look forward to.

Re: Tales of Home [4]
Ah, that sounds good. That's one less thing to worry about with all the other stresses of the season.
I ordered some things online which hopefully will turn up on time, but I still have to get about three more.
So at the moment I don't really have any either.

Re: Tales of Home [4]
Ah, finally saw the Movember movie (what else can we call it, it's all Fjordlandian to us!). I loved the logic behind switching all sexes because the ratio was reversed.
I also love the shot of Norc sauntering along in a Tshirt, surrounded by ice and snow. makes it seem like a big budget production: that must all be white plastic! Either that or Norc's an elf. I favor the second explanation.

Oh wait, that wasn't Norc. (I blame bad lighting.) But I can well imagine Norc sauntering along in a Tshirt through an icy landscape. After all, she does live on an ice cube.

two naked guys stopped the traffic in Tromsø today, in the middle of the city. You would think they were local, but they were actually australian. a pop band who were taking photographs for their CD..the police arrived after a while though.. and it was minus-degrees
Re: Tales of Home [4]
also these guys decided to eat christmas dinner (julebord) in a little cabin up in a mountain. here's video and pictures http://www.nordlys.no/nyheter/byavisa_tromso/article7055433.ece
Re: Tales of Home [4]
Australians.
We fjordlandians know well enough not to stand naked outside in that sort of weather.
For obvious reasons..

Also a heads up to anyone, maybe particularily Australians judging by their other winter activities.
Jogging shoes and ice covered roads doesn't mix well.

Re: Tales of Home [4]
Haha. Well. I should know better really, but when it's raining when you walk out and everything freezes by the time you walk home it can get a bit scary.
Maybe I should get some of those.

Re: Tales of Home [4]
This was how it looked around here, before it started raining a couple of days ago.
It was looking quite nice actually.
I guess I'll have to picture this on Christmas eve.

Re: Tales of Home [4]
We had snow on the ground for about two weeks, but it got warm and started raining just in time for a non-snowy Christmas.
Re: Tales of Home [4]
I know how you feel Eldo. Though it might have been more disapointing for you as we normally have snow at Christmas.
Also apparently despite us missing about all these winter storms were getting one now, and on Christmas eve at that.
They are forecasting 20-30 mm of rain just on Christmas eve.

Re: Tales of Home [4]
It'll turn Christmassy somehow, it being Christmas after all, though the news of this rain seem a bit daunting. Not sure my parents would appreciate me taping pictures all over the windows, but thanks for the suggestion.
Congratulations on the presents. Though that reminds me I still have those 3 presents to get.
It doesn't help that the walking around shopping center and shops all day looking for presents is one of my least favourite parts of Christmas. Particularily as it tends to take all day.

Re: Tales of Home [4]
Storm is moving in here. The widows are all creaking. If you are scared of heights you probably wouldnt do well sitting where I am next to the creaking. Can see the wind on the Thames... looks quite strong already.
Re: Tales of Home [4]
That sounds like what we're getting tommorow Lance.
Feel free to use my picture to plaster over your windows if you want. I won't bring up any copyright complaints.
