Re: Tales of Home [4]
Yeah. Well. Kind of, at least.
I did start reading a bit on here and Bree when the first movie came out. I didn't really like Bree, but I liked it here. So I kept checking in every now and then. Mainly for Hobbit discussions though. I only recently discovered you guys were mostly off in the Off topic forums because of the lack of Hobbit news.
I do kind of wish I had joined in sooner now, but at least I did.
The picture I think saw quite recently though.
My point with mentioning the picture was that noone who saw that could have said anything but that Tromsø is a beautiful city. But when you get down to the city center with the asphalt and concrete it probably gets a bit dreary. Oslo is certainly a bit like that.
Ringo; Seeing as I might get in both you and Norcs good books by supporting your candidacy, you shall certainly have my support as well.

Re: Tales of Home [4]
we made a movie in norwegian class, it's being presented to all third-years today as a sort of christmasy happening although we get grades on it :)we did a modernised version of the princess who couldn't be silences (or something like that in english). we were four girls and one guys, therefore the guy is the princess, and the girls play the men :Pi am the mayor (instead of king) i also did the editing, though everyone was in on what sounds/music we should use.
fake edit: perhaps this should have been in the fjordian thread

oh, yeah.. still it's a long time since i posted that picture
although i agree on that points, sort of. the town in itself isn't too bad, but the architecture is interesting.. a bit of old and new

Despite some questionable Bear Grylls fangirling, Ringo is the obvious choice. Nynorskmann ( ) and overall gentleman and champion.
You other two are certainly not respectable, spreading all your infiddelity talk all over the site.

Was taht a fisk hook you found? As to the rest of the movie, Norc - it was all Fjordiandian to me!
Um... were they really girls playing boys...? or Fjordian boys pretending to be Danes?
And that pregnant boy... I once read about them in the Forumshire Encyclopedia... I thought I was shocked reading about it then... but that was nothing...

Re: Tales of Home [4]
Here we go again
"An amber warning of severe gales has been issued by the Met Office for western, central and northern Scotland.
It said gusts of 70 to 80mph could be expected within the amber warning area.
But gusts could reach about 90mph in exposed areas of western Scotland and the Western Isles.
The alert, which applies from 21:00 on Wednesday to 08:00 on Thursday, said the winds could lead to "very high waves" and would be accompanied by heavy rain.
Forecasters said the public should be prepared for disruption to transport and possibly power supplies."
Bollocks!

Ah, we don't get a lot of the wind around here. But all these low preassure systems throwing warm wind from the Atlantic at us has made most of the snow rain away. And in the week before Christmas at that.

Sounds great.
I remember when we made movies for school I always ended up in the group with a girl who's father worked with movie editing in the police. So he filmed it and edited it and it looked stunning and we would get a 6.
You've probably earned your good grade a bit more than we did.

Re: Tales of Home [4]
What would a lawyer say to this?
Ah.
"I don't think so, but if you show me where it says so in the rules I will of course admit my mistake."
I don't think it was considered cheating actually. But a bit unfair, I agree.

Re: Tales of Home [4]
A lawyer named " Strange" was shopping for a tomb stone. After he had made his selection, the stonecutter asked him what inscription he would like on it.
"Here lies an honest man & lawyer" responded the lawyer. "Sorry, but I cant do that" replied the stonecutter. In this country its against the law to bury two people in the grave. However, I COULD put "Here lies an honest lawyer". "But that wont let people know who it is " protested the lawyer. "It most certainly will " retorted the stonecutter. "People will read it & exclaim...Thats Strange !"
