Its the 1st week of November & in the UK its fooking freezing already but, as I was walking out today.....with a hey nonny ho ....I was surprised how much flora is still chugging along........ ( there's gotta be a joke there somewhere but I cant think of one ) ..........So, to bore you into looking at another more interesting thread here's my snappies of the day .........

Now this bird was inching its way along the railing as I was "clicking" at it, it was just going to snatch a bit of sandwich that I had when a dog came gallumfing round the corner

And sandstone steps Weve hardly any sandstone left now, cos everyone wants to get trendy & have the same as next door, & the next door & the next till everyones gardens & drives all look the dam same.

oh sandstone steps, I remember a time you would see housewives scouring their front steps with Donkey Stone. I bet nobody has seen that for donkeys years.

 Yeah ! And I remember my gran & mum using this red polish stuff on the red stone step outside the front door. I remember how I liked the smell, & Brasso Mum & gran had Brasso Its all bittersweet really.
We do seem to hold onto a lot of colour here, We must sit in a pocket of the South East that keeps the temperature roughly even. I still have Lobelia & Clematis in my little garden & in plenty other gardens theres Geraniums still going

All this talk of decorative patterns and not one example? Takes all the interest right out of it.

My gran & mum's red tile paint I can see gran now, in her full pinny, hard brush in one hand, red stained cloth in the other
