We had spring here until yesterday. So we went from people mowing their lawns to that.

This winter doesn't seem to want to decide on what it is.

The weather is back to being stunning here today. Almost summer-y.

I've given up on making any sense of it.  Laughing

You see, when you Fjordlandians get snow, it sticks around for the duration. You accept it as what the world is doing right now. When we get snow, it looks pretty for about 1.5 days, looks like gray slush for 3.7 days, then anywhere between 1 and 3 weeks later it all happens again. There's no regularity.

You can deal with a cold room. It's an intermittent cold draught that's annoying.

Normally, we (in Maryland) only get one or two snowstorms where there's enough to build a snowman. We've gotten a ton this year, and it hasn't melted quite as fast, but it's still a lot of work for something that will be small and gone soon anyway.

Did I just say that?   Shocked  Laughing

Well, "serious" answer. I think it basically comes down to the fact that we have the means and necessities to deal with snow. But when you get it in places that doesn't have the contingencies everything stops.

Because we live with snow we can deal with it.  Shrugging
