Re: Tales of Home [4]
That's right. Late February or early March. It was just before I got off in Vardø and hitchhiked south. (That was F***ing Cold! My camera froze!)

Re: Tales of Home [4]
Ah, ok.
It was only that we were talking of Michael Palin travelling through just those parts the other day, but that was in the early 90s I think.
It's here for anyone who's interested. He travels from the North Pole across Svalbard to Tromsø. And then takes the Hurtigrute north and travels across Finmark to Finland.

Re: Tales of Home [4]
So we finallly got some proper snow. Though I missed it falling.
Hopefully it'll stay for a while, and then maybe I'll stop going on about it.

Re: Tales of Home [4]
It's snowing for real here and, most importantly, it's actually layering!
- Spoiler:
- The forecast is back to rain tomorrow.
Re: Tales of Home [4]
Oh, nice to hear that Eldo.
Petty; I know what you mean. It's been like that here for the last couple of weeks. And you do live in the way of a lot of weather systems. There are certain areas on the south west coast of Norway that almost never get snow just for that reason.
Here's the difference a bit of snow makes: (Yesterday and today)

It's pretty and it's fun to play in.
I enjoy warm weather too. That's the beauty of the seasons.

Re: Tales of Home [4]
Thanks Norc! We went sledding too. I'm at my dad's so I didn't have my stuff, but I was able to borrow some snow gear. It's snowing in the city too and the Ravens are playing at home, so the playing field was completely covered in snow.
Re: Tales of Home [4]
Glad to hear you got to get out and about in it Eldo.
If one only had the time. It doesn't look like it's staying here all that long either.
I did at least get to walk home through it.

Re: Tales of Home [4]
It turned to sleet last night regular than rain, so when I woke up today it's still white outside. Though I'm not looking forward to driving home in this. At least they had already salted most of the highways.

the thing is, if it absolutely must be cold, it's all rather pointless unless it snows. You see?
