It would look cool, and who wouldn't like to retake England!

We feel the same way about our beloved neighbours down south

Re: Tales of Home [3]
Ok, gather around children. Let's do this the easy way and not get English/American pronunciation involved at all.

Not the R, though, I've never heard about guttural R's with elves (that's skarre-r in English by the way, I learnt something new today!)

that's just the letters, dear.. waite for the dialects.. words.. same word, different pronouncing, different meaninghalfwise wrote:I thought you had more doohickies than that. Ah well.
Re: Tales of Home [3]
I don't know, Eldo, I'm quite fond of our many dialects And dialects and different styles of new norwegian are used to great effect in the "Ringdrotten" translation of LotR, as I've said before. Not that this has anything to do with how you feel about dialects in the English language, but I do believe they add something to a language

English English has quite a few dialects.... Your dodgy Americanised version of it might not though.

I admit I haven't listened beyond C. :lol:At least it was fairly close to a proper R, not too gurgly.Ringdrotten wrote:Not the R, though, I've never heard about guttural R's with elves (that's skarre-r in English by the way, I learnt something new today!)
