That's been the (admittedly tentative) release schedule since before they started filming, I think. Smile

2012! I'll be 54 years old then - and probably long drownded! Sad

(Mmm... might not be all that bad --- will give me the chance to read the book a few more times before all my dreams and memories are ruined. Gotta look at the bright side, methinks. Very Happy )

It's only about 14 months away, Orwell! Don't despair; I remember when I was celebrating that it was only three years away, but that was long before filming started when people thought it would come out in 2011. Laughing

Just curious... are we ignoring all the Evangeline Lilly Tauriel stuff as it seems to be news for news sake, or is it in umbridge at the inclusion of Tauriel?

Bit of both on my part- I haven't seen anything to make me think including her is a good idea and her own words since have done nothing but cement that point of view- I'm sure she is a fine actor and all that and a fine looking woman but she does not belong in the Hobbit! Evil or Very Mad

After the initial razzmatazz the info seems to have dried up dramatically... i will be optomistic and assume this is because they are actually busy making the films, not goofing off to take part in extreme sports in NZ

Its been a good while sinc we heard anyhitng. I had thought they might have had some treats ready to put out during the fillming gap to keep interest up, but its been and gone and they are back to filming and not a peep.
And Sir Ian hasn't updated his Hobbit blog since the 31st of May!

When there is news we discuss the news and when they see fit to leave us all dangling in the dark with no news we amuse ourselves. Very Happy But don't worry about adjusting- the funs in jumping right in! Nod

Nonsense, Anne, the important thing is to take your time to work out who are the sensible folk here. "Jumping in" is exactly what a nice lady (or girl) should NOT do! Rolling Eyes My advice is, find worthwhile topics to talk about, then post those worthwhile topics. Mind you, there are some sensible threads here --- too few though. (Can I suggest Wholesome Tales. Very edifying tales they are). Btw Orwell and Mr Tyrant are fools! Damn fools, I tell you. Stick with the Respectable folk. Here to help! Very Happy

Yes Anne by all means you could stick with the stick-in-the-muds like Odo here, or you could have some fun and buckie! Your choice of course.

Post by Anne Fri Oct 14, 2011 8:55 am

I am reading posts when I am able to, but the more I read, the more confused I get. I think you all have a good sense of humour here. Do you two really not like each other Pettytyrant and Orwell? I think you're joking with each other. I think that much is obvious. And Odo! I suspect pettytyrant has more than one avatar! Suspect I like that idea. I hope I'm right. I feel already that it woud not bother you if I was wrong anyway.

Now, you leave her alone, Mr Tyrant. The young lady is just finding her way.

{{{Mind you, Mr Tyrant, I think she might be a little astray suggesting a Banks and a Tyrant would be the same thing! Shocked}}}

Sorry about the {{{ }}}'s above, Anne. Of course, they indicate an Encryption Spell. Mr Tyrant can read the message between them, as the message was addressed to him, but I assure you, I only said something nice, just private. I hope you comprehend. Funny things, Encryption Spells, yes, funny indeed. Suspect I'll give you an example:

{{{Anne, Mr Tyrant is a great big dodo bird! Laughing The great thing is, he doesn't know I've said it, but he might get suspicious because of the smell of peppermint, which is another attribute of Encryption Spells }}}

Now, Mr Tyrant, could you read the contents of the last Encryption Spell? If you can't - and of course I know you you can't - all I can say is I was very complimentary to you! Very Happy

Oh no, you don't need to, I'm a fellow who can supply compliments very cheaply, dear Mr Tyrant. Very Happy

{{{Oh Anne, see what a silly sausage he truly is - oh so easily fooled, because, well, because he is a fool. He's from the McTyrant line, which I think explains everything. Rolling Eyes But he's charming nontheless, in a very Scotshobbit fashion... or what goes for charm with the like. We must humour him, of course; for he can't help being, well, Scottish.
