Petty's Purist LotR Edits [2]

Started the reuploading of part 3- hopefully for the last time! All the other parts should be there.

Part 7 still corrupt, I'm afraid. I'll try downloading it again, who knows, maybe it'll work.

or maybe it's a sign.

This app thingy is hopelesss!
Files definetly fine- I can extract the files into a film - and those are the files in the folder on my PC that are supposed to get uploaded to the skydrive!! They are the same files.
But thanks for the heads up Ringdrotten.
Part 3 is still uploading, been going for hours only done 300 odd MB.

Once you get back to learning to shoot people school dont download part 3- once it is uploaded I will download the version on the drive myself and see if it works first- no point you downlaodng it on a crappy connection only for the same problem to happen again.

Ill post back on here to let you kow if it seems to have worked or not.

Part 7 corrupt on second attempt as well And there's been no hassle for me, Petty, so don't worry about that. I appreciate you trying to upload it in time for tonight, but like you say, microsoft doesn't always cooperate - not much we can do about that

If I could even work out what the problem is it would help.
Something going amiss either duing upload or on their drive, and I dont know which.
Only alternative is going back to making loads of little files and uploading them- but part 7 is only a few hundred meg and its screwed it up too so Eru knows.

Reupping part 7 as its smallish and might be ready tonight to try again.

It worked! Watched the witch king scene a few times, and it looks great! Very happy with how you managed to keep a glimpse of Gandalf holding up his staff at the end, sort of "confirms" for me that he doesn't get his a** kicked All I can say is well done, and I can only thank you once more for listening to our suggestions. The witch king scene is watchable at last

And thanks to you Ringdrotten and all the other folks who have made suggestions and given me feedback- it wouldnt be half as good an overall edit without the input.

Just finished editing the HD purist edit of TH- mde a few changes I think improve things.
It should be on the second drive sometime in the next day or so.

Ok- for complicated reasons not woth explaining I have split the HD purist edit of TH into two files.
The first is uploading now (goes under the file name sequence 1 for reasons that are not likely to made clear, and is in the TH HD folder on the second drive) there are 3 files- 2 large one tiny in Sequence 1.
Download alll 3 and extract then watch. That will give you up to Rivendell.
Sequence 2 which I will upload once 1 is finished will give you the rest of the film.
However you dont need one to watch the other.
So you could download and watch the first part whilst you download the second half.

Is that clear? Probably not.

so if your google account isn't hooked up 2 YouTube does that matter or

In theory thats all of the purist edit of Th on the 2nd drive. But I wont know if there are any problems until someone tries to download it.

I'm heading home for the weekend, so I'll give it a try tonight or tomorrow

I could of course download it myself and check it but after spending 2 whole days uploading it and having to watch it about 3 times (sadly watching it all through is the only way to really see if a scene is working and if there are any tiny, one or two frame errors) I am as a result, sick of the sight of the bloody thing.

And seeing as you are here Norc- go on download at least the first part see what you think (I'd be genuinely interested in your views on it)- you'd have downloaded it by now if it had Cumberbums bum in it!

Why don't you add a Cumberbumber bum? Just a frame or two, Fight Club style. It would become the most over analyzed movie ever and you attract a whole new range of fans.

Only a couple of hours of your time and a whole new version of the film for comparison.
