Holidays and absences

Thanks Ringo. It was a blast. I was totally giddy walking through everything when we first got there.

We're in the last stage of our vacation now.  After nearly a full week in Orlando we drove about four hours south to Miami to visit a family member who lives just north of the city.  We're staying at a new hotel overlooking Biscayne Bay and it's quite nice so far.  I'm not sure yet what we're going to do tomorrow, but on Tuesday we fly out of Miami in the morning and after a layover will return to Baltimore sometime in the late afternoon.

Also, we have complementary wi-fi in this hotel room because my mom racked up a ton of rewards points somehow.

Our layover in Atlanta lasted about three and a half hours longer than it was supposed to since the plane for the second flight was having unexpected maintenance and they had to find a completely different one to take us back to Baltimore, but we're here all safe and sound.  I also got a nice surprise once we got home by finding that my official Uni diploma had finally arrived in the mail while we were away.

The next order of business is to complete that whole photo essay/narrative of the trip to Harry Potter World (and other places we took photos).  All of the pictures are up on Facebook, but the descriptions will have to wait until tomorrow since I'm exhausted.  Who knew that sitting around at an airport could be so draining?  (Also, I slept like shit last night.)

You need to do it before Sunday! I have my own holiday to go on!!

or by today. i am also leaving. for a week, and i don't have a smart phone and i can't be bothered to take my computer with me so..  i'll be, literally, gone for a week.

talking of which, has Pettys Buckie barrel dried up and shrivelled? cos he's too quiet.  

I get very suspicious when it goes quiet ? The lull before the storm ??

I will take my phone and use wifi if I can find any.. but likely I will also be literally gone for 2 weeks.

Why couldn't we have all coordinated our vacations?

I'll do my best to get the photo essay up today.  There's like 80 pictures that I wanted to share so it'll be pretty long.  I'm debating whether or not to put it in the Holiday stories thread or to make a new one for it. I'd love to see your air show photos too, Lance!

Right, I'm off for 2 weeks as of 10am tomorrow. Might pop on to say hello if the wifi at our resort is working... either way, no big updates for anything.

Hope you have a good trip, Lance! I was able to log on to the lobby wi-fi from my hotel at the resort we stayed at since I didn't want to pay $10 or something ridiculous like that for Internet. See you in a couple weeks!

Never been there myself, but it looks fantastic (if google images doesn't lie, that is)! Vacations in Norway are underrated.

totally agree, we went to arendal and kristiansand and lillestrøm too. Jonas Alaska concert in Arendal was just .. fantastic  bathing every evening and yeah, it's underrated
