Does she make your toes curly? Wink

I have to admit Evangeline makes my toes rather curly, and if PJ shows her in all her sleek thigh muscle glory rather than in dwarf-smuggling hoopskirts I may just forgive the existence of the character.

Mrs Figg wrote: In theory now I have said farewell to Bree forever, and said my fond farewells, I shouldnt be commenting on hobbity things, but I have always got room for Tauriel bashing.

:carrot:

So I had to pop/lurk over to Bree-land to where you said farewell, and you didn't want your opinions of the movie influenced by outside opinions: walking in to see it with virgin eyes.

I'm thinking our opinions are just a bit too predictable to do anymore damage, hmmm? Suspect
But we are glad you are still here, even if we haven't the intellectual arsenal to influence you one way or another. I love you

Over at Bree we have discussed everything in so much detail that I felt I was losing the ability to simply enjoy the films as pure entertainment. I dont want to sit there and have other peoples comments intruding on mine, I probably will still think 'oh look theres the river rapids that Petty loves so much', or 'oh Roac is talking, how Todd would hate that', see what I mean? I have looked forward for ages to see them and I want to enjoy them as free from complications as possible, obviously after its another story. so from now on I am a hobbit free zone.

You wont have to be sitting there thinking, "oh Petty will hate that bit I'm sure' Mrs Figg- you will hear me screaming abuse, even in Italy.

Worst thing that could happen is he does a great job of it and tells the story perfectly carefully balancing the additions with the original tale and preserving the charm of the original work and I have nothing to complain about.... Razz sorry, can't keep a straight face saying that.

Luckilly one can live in Forumshire, and quite easily get to a point where you never talk about the movies... Very Happy

Petty - I am glad to see you unconquering enthusiasm for these movies wasn't faked over in the other forum. I can sense the same unquenchable thirst for all things PJ and the almost electrifying excitement for December to come around so you can sit there in the cinema watching it over and over and over and over and over again.

The sad thing is, especially if its prety bad, I probably will end up having to watch it in painful detail for hours on end over and over as I attempt to reedit it into something watchable!

I'm probably more interested in this aspect of TH than whatever unpleasant mutilation of the book PJ and coven will embark on this time.
It might even turn the 3D into something useful instead of just a gimic. A lot of the rubbishness of 3D comes from the ghosting and lack of definition you get when things move about- hopefully 48frames will sort that problem completely.
