Yup those are some pretty shitty looking roads- even worse than ours- but then they do get a lot of snow and ice on them and nothing worse for breaking up a road.

A friend has just left, our conversation had touched on the thorny subject of taxes and Norway got a mention- I showed him the pictures you put up Norc of the roads.
He took a good long look at them and considered the state of them before announcing, "Well its obvious what the problem is there, isn't it? That's troll damage."

Have just come across this thread.

I am not sure where to start with propoganda about Southend-on-Sea.

We have a couple of pubs and strip clubs. Sure that has convinced some of you already.

We have some fountains down at the newly renovated beach area... you can get wet and therefore even colder than you were already.

Views across to the powerstations and docks in Kent rivals anything PJ is putting in to the Hobbit.

Longest pleasure pier in the world.... lifeboat station and I think a cafe at the other end.

Rollercoaster and the 'Crooked House' located at amusement park at land end of the pier.

Arcades containing classics like Ridge Racer and Afterburner.

Sand (mixed with stones...... mainly stones with a bit of sand in between)

I'm done.

I dont believe a word of it Lance. Pubs and strip clubs?-
I wont believe it unless you can provide much photographic evidence of both. Tales of Home [1] - Page 5 1918643206

today it has been below zero degrees (celsius, that'll be when water freezes) ALL DAY! not just night first, which means it has been frost on the lawns the entire day. The mountains has a fine new layer of fresh snow.
so I am beginning the official competition for FIRST SNOW!!

Looking good here, just need some downfall now Very Happy
RULES:
- it has to be in sea level, mountains don't count Smile
- and it has to stay on the ground, not melt at once, but stay a couple of hours, at least Smile

let the competition begin!! Very Happy

btw, link here to the local newspaper, great photographs of my town Smile didn't feel like copying, but people sendt in autumn pictures .http://www.itromso.no/bilder/article6368925.ece

I'm still not sure of the fairness of a first snow competion when you liove Norc in the artic circle!

Bet Id win a first horizontal rain competion!

And where's your proof Norc? We demand the evidence (well I do!)
