I remember the horror, revulsion and outrage of a particular British bartender when an American tourist tried to order a really good whisky mixed with Coca Cola.

The idea of mixing alcohol and caffeine in the same drink has always had a certain efficiency to it though....

you can only buy whiskey between 10 and 18 on weekdays and 10 and 15 in weekends in norway. when i posted that it was 21.49 sooooo...

hello guys, KARSK!!!! bålkaffe+brennevin+sukkerbit=heaven! (translated: really strong coffee boiled over an open fire, added some err.. alcohol, moonshine or vodka or the like and then a sugarcube (voluntary but advised). how to blend? put a coin in a cup. poor coffee until you can't see it. alcohol until you can see it again. consume until coin is unseeable again.

Neat idea, but I don't buy it physically. As you add alcohol you're not removing the coffee. Will block the same amount of light, unless you are talking about looking at the coin sideways through a glass.

Coffee with just the right amount of pure moonshine (94-95% vol) is actually quite tasty, believe it or not
