There are certainly a lot of different tongues to keep up with in GOT. You have to be quite cunning if you want to take them all in and appreciate them fully.

I didn't even notice bungo's post before making that one. This is now the GOTxAdverts thread.

Well, I watched it and thought it worked rather well for what it was. Though I agree with what Eldo said on the last page, it certainly leaves them with quite a lot to do in the final episode..
Oh, and Mamooths.

I reckon thats it for battles. Once Jon goes I think the story will cliffhang there as far as The Wall goes. dont think the last episode will be another battle but more Tyrion stuff. well at least I hope so but I am probably wrong.

I agree Figgs, though in the preview it shows him a bit. I'm not sure what will happen, but I think it should be a two hour episode with all the loose ends that need tying.
Don't watch this if you don't want spoilers

Re: Game of Thrones -- TV ONLY
loved episode 9, the battle at Castle Black, it all went so quickly, couldnt believe I had been watching for an hour, it never dragged which is good for battles, as chopped up bodies can get tiring after a bit, but this episode was gripping from start to finish a bit like a mini Helms Deep. It wasnt as cool as Blackwater but they really did a top notch job. Perhaps they will leave any mega epic battle with Mances full army until season 5.

It will be the longest episode to date, clocking in at 66 minutes.

Danaerys will learn...
I am curious as to who will take over the role of delivering plot-developing dialogue and back-story for the Danaerys stuff.
I have this running joke with my sister; where whenever Jorah says something about a culture or a person or how something works, we ask each-other, "How does he know so much??"

I think Jorah was her lucky charm, once he goes her luck changes for the worst.

Re: Game of Thrones -- TV ONLY
Well, I thought it was good.
Seeing as how the penultimate episode has usually been the big one, this was a satisfying season finale.
Only a year until season 5.
Edit: Ray Harryhausen would have definitely approved of those skeletons.

- Spoiler:
- Kind of sad about seeing the Hound go. Not sure if Brienne or Pod will ever show up again. Brienne's story has kind of played out. She couldn't help Arya, and now Arya is going to be on the other side of the sea. So now I'm guessing that Arya will travel to Braavos and become a kick-ass warrior and return to Westeros to rein hell down on everyone.
Since I spoiled Tyrion's fate for myself I wasn't shocked when he killed Tywin, but I was surprised when he killed Shea (but she really had it coming). It was nice to see Varys sitting next to Tyrion's box on the boat. Put a little smile on my face.
Dany is going to have some very angry dragons on her hands.
I was surprised how much time they spent away from Tyrion's story. They only played it out during the last 15 minutes or so. But it probably wouldn't have been very fun to watch him mope in his cell for 30 minutes, so I can't complain.
