Re: Future releases [2]
I'm still looking forward to it, but the love line and the Dylan Thomas quote are making me worry the movie is going to be full of other faux-deep Nolanisms.
Re: Future releases [2]
Yeah, I'm a little worried that the movie will just be "trailer material" like that Superman movie. "You were meant to lead them into the sun! And blah blah blah!"
I do like the Dylan Thomas poem, and it seems apt with humanity facing its extinction in this movie.
Hearing the poem for the first time in a while reminded me of how I was first introduced to it.

Re: Future releases [2]
Well the first trailers were more effective.
But hey, new Harry Lloyd! (...albeit yet another supporting role)

Re: Future releases [2]
That was powerful ! Id like to think I could sit thru the whole film but I know its gonna get me ! Such a shame, what a dreadful thing to happen to someone. From just that clip it looks like he showed tremendous courage & determination, If you have the best person next to you, willing to be there, help, take the brunt when things go shitty, that, can make all the difference in the world.

Wasn't aware of that movie. Now it's on my radar.
There will be good movies this winter, BOFA will just be an anomaly.

Re: Future releases [2]
that stephen hawking movie looked brilliant, i loved it, but also very similar to the BBC movie-thing BenedictCumberbatch played Hawking in.
Re: Future releases [2]
Bendydick played Hawking? I did not know that!
Although on second thought I'm tempted to think you mean that other British scientist, Turing or something.
Edit: The Imitation Game
Edit: Nope, your videos didn't load for me the first time around, my bad!

are you even questioning my Cumberbatch-knowledge !?
He's played a prime-minister, William Pitt in "amazing grace", Hawking, Sherlock, Alan Turing, Dr. Frankenstein, the Creature and loads of other people. here's a list http://www.imdb.com/name/nm1212722/?ref_=nv_sr_1 (i more or less know it by heart..)
Re: Future releases [2]
Forgive my questioning ignorance, oh wise High-priestess of the Font of Bendybum!
Ha, he's even played Humphrey Bogart and Van Gogh.

Re: Future releases [2]
Agreed, B.R is one of the few films I've seen that definitely doesn't lend itself to a sequel with the main characters, a sidequel or spin off maybe, but definitely not something I want to see happen.
He's also attached to Prometheus 2, Ridley Scott must be planning a very very big bathroom extension or something...
Really wish he'd get back to The Forever War, one of my fave books, he stated last year in EMPIRE that the script was complete...

Twilight ... is back.

That's certainly an, um, interesting medium they've chosen.

Re: Future releases [2]
Amazing, Facebook will do for independent filmmakers what they have done for social media! They will revolutionize independent filmmaking by providing a free platform for distributing their work to the general public!
/sarcasm
Give me a break Facebook!!
It's called youtube or twitch film or vimeo or dailymotion or Ustream or metacafe or viewster.
These resources for wannabe filmmakers have accomplished several hundred times more than this stupid Twilight initiative:
http://www.raindance.org/top-13-sites-for-independent-filmmakers/
I grow increasingly overwhelmed by how thankful I am that I don't use Facebook.
I mean the only reason this exists is because someone thought it would make money. And the only reason people are involved is because Facebook is buying them out wholesale.
Here let me translate that for you Mr. Burns:
"We think Facebook is a great way for us to introduce the world of ‘Twilight’ to a whole new audience while re-energizing existing fans,” Michael Burns, Lions Gate’s vice chairman, said in an interview.
Translation:
"We noticed Facebook is popular and blah blah cashgrab blah blah Twilight sold well blah blah blah Zuckerberg is our leader, all hail him."

I haven't used facebook in almost two years. I don't have a facebook anymore. It's just for old people and people who like to brag about their lives, or complain about their lives all the time.
