Re: Sherlock - BBC [3]
yepp ^^ i know, and they are kinda cute together.. even though sherlock has some problems understanding human interaction (if he doesn't have some sort of plan idk.. )
also, there is one more thing i meant to ask, and i am probably asking the wrong people. but before the episode aired. there was talk on tumblr that two characters who have never shared any screentime together before, now does it in this episode. mystraders (people who ship mycroft and lestrade) gleefully rubbed their hands, but i can't remember if they actually did it. did mycroft and lestrade share screetime?
i found this gif, but it could be a manip. (but i am on internet explorer so i can't post gifs for some reason don't ask me why, but the school net has found out chrome is the devil or something..)

first it was sir Boas-a-lot, now it's Shag-a-lot.. A+ for character development.
Re: Sherlock - BBC [3]
btw, i don't think sherlock is a sosiopath or a phycopath. damaged yes, but i think the "high functioning sosiopath" thing he keeps introducing himself as (notice it is always him who says it) is kidna of an exuse for him to "not feel" or.. i think he is both scared of his emotion and all that seperate his mind from his body bullshit, what do u guys think about that?
Re: Sherlock - BBC [3]
- Spoiler:
- also in a study in pink John shoots a man for Sherlock, no regret, in his last vow, sherlock shoots a man for john, no regret.

Re: Sherlock - BBC [3]
and someone on tumblr wrote:
- Spoiler:
- everyone on my dash is screaming “HE WAS SO GOING TO SAY HE LOVED HIM” , but he did say that, weren’t you paying attention?
Sherlock and John don’t communicate the way “normal” people do - how could they? One is an adrenaline junkie who seeks out bullets even after one left a web of dead cells on his shoulder and the other introduces himself as a “high functioning sociopath” to protect himself from his own emotions (because his childhood pet died - I’m crying into eternity over that.)
So what did we see?
He took his glove off when he shook John’s hand, he offered his name, full name, to be theirs - remember how John hates his name, but “gives” it whilst Sherlock is, to his eyes, flirting with Irene?
He shot a man. He shot a man. In the head. Point blank, no regrets. He shot a man for John Watson. He jumped in a fire for John Watson. He jumped off a roof for John Watson.
He helped pick out the colour for the bride’s maid’s dresses for John Watson. He wrote that best man’s speech for John Watson. He saved “the most unsociable man he’s ever met” for John Watson.
He moved John’s chair because he couldn’t bear to see it vacant. (or for Janine to sit in it? It’s John’s after all.)
He got bloody engaged to ensure John’s wife was fine.
He relapsed.
He fucking bought himself back into consciousness with the thought “John Watson is in danger” after being shot.
He let John choose if he wanted Mary to stay. He only told John “six months”, so he wouldn’t worry him, because that’s not on - John can’t worry, because John Watson is his top priority.
He knew he was going to his death so he made that joke about his name so he would see John Watson smile.
He did all that fully knowing that while John is his pressure point, he is not John’s.
If that’s not an “I love you”, than, my dear fandom, I don’t know what more do you want.

Re: Sherlock - BBC [3]
- Spoiler:
- Sherlock: So yeah, Magnussen is definitely the most dangerous guy I’ve ever met
Moriarty: *punches his way out of his grave* exCUSE YOU bitch
i dunno how i feel about bringing moriarty back yet.. he is brill, but where they really faking suicides at each other?
Re: Sherlock - BBC [3]
- Spoiler:
- Is it actually Moriarty thats back?- I suspect Moffat shenanigans- my money is on his righthand man from the book who hasnt come up in series 3 as it wasnt a 'live' recodng of Moriarty, it was a sort of animated version of him on a screen- and it would be a big departure form source as he remains dead in the books.

Yeah, I think they've slowly revealed that his eccentricity at least partly has been a shield to other people across the season which he has put on.
As the high function socipath thing in particular, it makes people forgive him for being ... well ... a dick.
- Spoiler:
- His feelings for John on return, his wedding antics and the relationship.

i don't think people forvie him for being a dick though.. i jus think he is what he is, querky.. and a bit of a weirdo, but he is human and he has emotions, although he chooses to ignore them and.. well..
but i will say one thing however. He has feelings, but he is not very good at observing people, which might be mild asberger (which is not sosiopath) or something. when they start crying he turns to john. when one has asberger one can learn about how people behave, but one is not very good at recognizing the different scenarios and have sympathy with others. so i think that is what happened during the speech. sherlock knows tears means one is sad, but he cannot difference between happy tears and sad tears, because he isn't very good at just that.

I wouldn't say they completely forgive him, but they let him get away with stuff. Partly because he's brilliant and partly because they think he's different. Which he obviously partly are, but maybe he finds it handy as well.

Re: Sherlock - BBC [3]
OOOOOH ARTICLE ABOUT HOW WE MGIHT EXPECT SHERLOCK BACK FOR NEXT CHRISTMAS READ READ READ!
Re: Sherlock - BBC [3]
That is such a typical Mail article-
'News comes after BBC was rocked by ITV's Christmas viewing figures'
Um except the BBC trounced ITV in the xmas ratings- all the top rated shows of the day in all the competitive prime slots were won by the BBC!
"with healthy numbers for both Downton Abbey and Coronation Street - the latter of which beat Eastenders' Christmas Day viewing figures for the first time in over a decade."
Healthy yes, winning numbers no. And they point out Corrie did better than Eastenders but fail to mention Corrie was on directly opposite Who, which beat it hands down.
The actual truth-
"Hit BBC One comedy Mrs Brown’s Boys was the most-watched programme on Christmas Day in 2013, with an average audience of 9.4 million viewers and Doctor Who won the biggest peak audience with 10.2 million tuning in for the regeneration and arrival of the Twelfth Doctor.
BBC One kept tradition by coming out on top on Christmas Day with four of the top five most popular programmes."
The Mail's hatred of the BBC bubbles on!

Re: Sherlock - BBC [3]
Are there any PR jobs going at the BBC?
I'm not sure I would trust the Mail 100% on anything, but I'm guessing there is some basic truth in the article. Which would probably mean the BBC wants it for their 2014 Christmas schedule.
Anyway, it's good news.
