- Being "on the down low" is slang for a man being engaged in surreptitious homosexual activity. It's most commonly used in a prison context and refers to men who do not identify as gay or bi despite sometimes having sex with men. Anyway, I wanted something that rhymed with O to go along with "bromance" and I settled on "down lowmance". Just another shitty pun brought to you by Eldo.
