I would tend to say the same, Petty.

Still, while watching on the internet is not too bad it doesn't really come close to television quality. And, for good for once, television companies are moving with the times and sending series sooner after they are broadcast in their country of origin.

When you're seeing something new from your favourite show you might want to make it as special as possible by lighting some candles and opening a bottle of wine. Television is still better for that. Particularily if they only make 3 episodes every now and then.

I'm certainly not watching the Trip to Italy on a stream. Though that might very likely not appear on fjordlandian television at all.

I don't know about streaming, but pretty good quality copies tend to find their way online in a matter of hours or days at most.

Although I'd like to note that I bought the season after it was available for purchase in the US. Smile

Yeah, I know Eldo.

And I must admit to not always having been as good a citizen as you. Embarassed

Though when it's something really special. Maybe the sitting down at the television at saturday at nine, or whatever, is how you get the most out of it. Shrugging

Hum, you won't find me waiting around to see the returning Sherlock!
I shall be glued to my computer, hunting my usual links, awaiting its appearance and relishing it it not once, but possibly twice.
I intend to have my pipe lit (tobacco! you fools) and a large mug of Fanta Orange at the ready, perhaps some dinner in front of me - I might even swing for a Guinness that night. It will be cause for celebration, that's for sure.
Now that you've all got my appetite wet, I'm off to see if Elementary was on this week, though I'm sure it was not due to Thanksgiving programming. Drat it.
Update: YES IT WAS ON! (Pardon me, off to get my Holmes on.)
Update 2: Damn! No, it was just a replay...remake of Thor Bridge again...not fair!

There will very likely be a HD file on line. Nod  And with a small investment you might even see it on your television straight from the computer.

It is more expensive if you have a mac, though.

For a pc you'll just need a hdmi cable, which you might already have for your dvd player or whatever. For a mac you'll need a go between as it doesn't have a hdmi port.

But that's it, a one time investment to see something straight from your computer on the television.

My pc is permanently hooked to my tv via HDMI- I dont watch any tv strictly speaking, in that I dont watch any broadcasts or have a set top box or even a tv aerial or dish.
I dont see the need any more (and it saves the sporran about 140 notes a year on a tv license Nod ). Anything I want to watch I can find online and watch at my own convenience, the thought of going back to scheduled tv (with advertising in programs! Evil or Very Mad ) is not at all appealing.

It's such an easy fix as well. Very Happy  Just plug a cable into your computer.

This is what you'll need if you only have macs lying around the place Norc:

Belkin adapter, Mini DisplayPort til HDMI

Though they'll probably have a cheaper one at the store. i think I bought mine for less than 200. And it's obviously even cheaper online.

Ah, you're not aware of the concept of fjordlandian prices then. Laughing  You can pretty much add a double digit percentage price rise compared to any UK prices. Shrugging Fjordlandian prices can be rather extreme.

200, or about 20 pounds, is for the mac extension thingy, Mini DisplayPort to HDMI. For all the good things macs have going for them, they do have a habbit of making the user fork out extra for accessories.

Though I did say you could probably find both a lot cheaper online, at somewhere like Amazon UK. Though if you have a hdmi already it's maybe just easier to go to your local store, as to avoid the wait and shipping costs.

You can watch on the filmon stream Norc- and I am sure a HD version of it will find its way to a certain Skydrive if you need it.
