Actually listening to sunny afternoon right now. Uncanny. Bloody hell, starting to sound like Petty. Must be the port

Re: Music [2]
The two best versions of two great songs right after one another in the same television performance? Surely not.

Nice one, Blue, I liked that one I've not listened to James Taylor's music before. I only know him only from this duet with Mark Knopfler. He's got a great voice

Re: Music [2]
I didn't know he sang on that. Nice song.
He had a couple of nice ones early in his career too:
Though I guess you see I'm following the Crosby Nash red line through these songs too.
Well, they certainly had good taste in who they did harmonies for.

And for that whole era of music, you might find this quite interesting.

Re: Music [2]
Enjoyed those two songs by James Taylor a lot, I'll be going through spotify tomorrow That documentary (that's what it is, right?) looks good too, but it'll have to wait - got to get my "døgnrytme" back in order (english translation? ). I'm probably going to California with a couple of friends this summer, so that vid will fit right in with all the other stuff I'm listening to/watching these days

I take it this is part of your Grand Canyon trip? If so you'll likely be disappointed by Las Angeles, but you may want to head south of the Border through Tijuana into Baja California. I haven't been there yet, but understand it's developed into a foodie/wine paradise, if you're into that kind of stuff. A whole explosion of Mexican blending with Mediterranean cuisines.
And then there's Vegas.....

Re: Music [2]
Jackson Browne was discussed a couple of pages back. 10,000 Maniacs covered his song "These Days" for Elektra's 40th anniversary CD; it happens to be my favorite 10KM song. Here are both versions:
(Note: the cover is not on 10KM's Blind Man's Zoo)

Re: Music [2]
I really liked the Jackson Browne version much better ! so much so that I didnt have the patience for the 2nd vid, tho I still listened. I related to the lyrics of Jacksons, loved the guitar sections, like his mellow, 'Im gonna chill out' voice, Thanks for that Raddy, or I might not have known Its on my Fav Songs list.

Wow, sounds fun.
Yeah, it's a BBC documentary. Quite an interesting watch.

Re: Music [2]
And as we are back on the subject of Jackson Browne.
With some more Crosby Nash harmonies, of course.
...it's not me exactly, although sometimes people applaud for me at that moment in the song as if I am, but in truth there is a bit of The Pretender in me, but it's anybody that's sort of lost sight of some of their dreams...and is going through the motions and trying to make a stab at a certain way of life that he sees other people succeeding at. So maybe it's a lot of people of a certain generation who sort of embraced a very material lifestyle in place of dreams that they had that sort of disintegrated at some point.
With some more Crosby Nash harmonies, of course.
