Someones on fire.
Now why do I have the feeling that first one might have been aimed slightly at me.
Hopefully not the second one though.

I liked that Ringo. It's strange how many obscure Dylan songs turn into hit material for other people.

Just something for the Beatles fans.
On the left, Ivan Vaughan, who introduced Paul to John. On the right, Pete Shotton, who asked Paul to join the band on John’s behalf.

Re: Music [2]
That one of the best versions of one of your favourite songs made by one of your favourite bands was made by another of your favourite bands?
That's quite neat actually.

Some more Crosby Stills Nash. Certainly one for the harmony nuts. Though that might be just me.

Re: Music [2]
i think it was blue who mentioned urørt (untouched), which is a sort of competition of young, un-signed artists in Norway. here are this years nominees, and they're all fighting for a place in the final, which i think is broadcasted on television (the competition is on radio) but yeah i dunno if u can vote, maybe, but at least check out the artists I voted for The Wolves (because they're from Tromsø) i think they're really good

Re: Music [2]
Yeah, I saw that.
It's quite a good system actually, for giving new artists a chance.
And I noticed there was a band from Tromsø. Do you know them or have you heard them before?
My Urørt thing might not be quite as impressive, as it's only a song I recorded several years ago.

Cool.
I'll have a listen through them.
I actually know the people who won a couple of years ago quite well.

Just been learning 'I See Fire' on guitar. While I haven't seen the film, I really like the song!
Might try and record at some point.

Re: Music [2]
Sounds interesting Lance. Are you using a capo as well?
Having listened to it, I'm not sure the guitar playing at the intro is all that planned out. Sounds like him fingerpicking the chords in his style.
It's certainly very effective, because it sounds great.

Re: Music [2]
Bluebottle - yes, I have been using a capo as it makes it easier to pick out what is being played when you arent 5 tones out from the original. And yes, I think he had the basic idea but then just played which is why the choice of notes is never consistent. I am just going for the basics (I.e. which chords and prominent notes) and then winging it!
Norclet - sure there is a violin version either on youtube or wherever people put sheet music for violins...? If not then just listen a few times and work it out!!
