Regard the potential for lots of ties, I floated the notion in previous years, but we've never done it, of the Admins having a vote on ties, which if still tied after that the final casting vote would go to Eldo as Admin.

There are a lot individual stories, one drawback to including lots is the actual awards ceremony might end up going for days.

And if it goes into overtime I don't get time and a half from the NotP. In fact my pay decreases for every hour it overruns   - hey why is that?  -reads contract- hah apparently its based on the view the longer it goes on the more drunk I will become and the less productive and my pay scales back accordingly. Bastards. That clause actually makes sense   

Since we don't actually have physical awards or cups that are hard to split, why don't we just have two winners in the case of a tie? We're not greedy here in forumshire, we could share the glory

Ah, the usual Forumshire method then.   

 I think - following modern practice in being fair to children - we give everyone an award and not risk setting any of us apart - or above - anyone else.

Going further, why not make us all Admins and Mods. If that happened, I could at last retire to a tropical island where I could study my navel until such time as the Martians come and transport me to Mormon Planet in the Sweet Louise of Saint Tropez, that wonderful spacecraft.

When are these awards?

Well... I for one think there should be an immigration curb on fjordlandians. They seem to be coming over here and competing for our awards with wreckless disregard for the indigenous population.

That is my pledge as mayor if you elect me. I will continue to make baseless points and fail to follow them up with any investigation or action!

I find your case incredibly persuasive, Lance, appealing as it does to my chronic xenophobia against all foreigners, especially Fjordianlandians (fucking Gypsies!), and also to my blatant sexism... I mean, isn't our Mayor of the female race --- and a dragon too by her very own admission!   

Mmmm... I must consider my vote very very seriously....  

Seeing as I'm the first new one who's actually spent some real time here since 2011 I feel that is a tiny bit unfair. Not that I expected anything else.  

Though I guess it's like with all xenophobia, it's all self justifications, self aggrandisement and all in the mind.

Though people from certain parts of the world should maybe know better.

It always seemed strange to me that the British see themselves as victims of continuous invasions.

At best you're a genetical mix of ancient Britons and invasion groups. At worst you're just a mix of different invasion groups.
