Yeah I thought you might enjoy that. I think he pretty much sums up my view completely as well.Norc wrote:This is gold, love his argumentsBluebottle wrote:Here's a kindred spirit of yours norc.
(Ikke at jeg ikke er helt enig selv, men det ligger vel kanskje litt mer naturlig for en med nord-norsk dialekt )

Re: Tales of Home [3]
I haven't done slalåm in a long time. I mostly do cross-country these days.
I think I stopped because I tried to start Snowboarding for quite a while but I only did it for like a week a year so never really got the hang of it.
Ville sannsynligvis vært mye mer moro med slålomski.

Re: Tales of Home [3]
That's great!
My parents used to drag me and my brothers out just about every free day when I was younger for one type of skiing or the other.
It's a shame one doesn't manage to do as much of it when one gets older.

Re: Tales of Home [3]
Yeah true... Although,.. I live right next to a pretty good ski- track, both for slalom and cross-country, no ski-lift though.
Re: Tales of Home [3]
Yeah, I live right by Marka in Oslo. But that also means one should get out more often, I guess.
(Hehe, det er jo litt værre. Er ikke noe særlig å vase opp bakker i slalåmstøvler.)

Re: Tales of Home [3]
I just asked my dad where marka where... it's the fores AROUND oslo for all who wonder why thats embarrasing.
Re: Tales of Home [3]
Hehe, I wouldn't worry about it. I don't think it's that normal to know about it if you're not from Oslo.
It is one of the better things about living in Oslo though to have this green lung around the city.
Også, når jeg tenker på det så er det vel flere byer som har noe de kaller marka. Som for eksempel Bymarka i Trondheim. Så jeg burde vel egentlig sagt Oslomarka.

You were born in Oslo?
I had no idea. That's great! Still your one up on me. I was born in Lørenskog. Just wasn't any room in Oslo when I was born.

Well they do say the reason the grass is so much greener in the rest of Norway than in Oslo is that you're all down here walking on ours.

Re: Tales of Home [3]
You should see Trøndelag in midsummer, greenest grass I know of I've been a few trips to Oslo and gone camping in Østmarka, it's a very nice place and a great way to get out of the city for a day or two if you feel like it

Yeah, it's great. Particulary for such a big city. I live closer to Nordmarka, so mostly out and about there.Ringdrotten wrote:You should see Trøndelag in midsummer, greenest grass I know of :DI've been a few trips to Oslo and gone camping in Østmarka, it's a very nice place and a great way to get out of the city for a day or two if you feel like it
I lived in Trondheim for 1.5 years, but I think I've only been to Bymarka once. Probably should have gone more often.
