Re: News from the set
I liked PJ's humour, but I would too like to see some more of Tolkien's humour, though Bombur was, as Tin said, made fun of by Tolkien too.
Re: News from the set
Those jokes of yours are going to get you in serious trouble with Norc The Og Slayer, Chris. Better let sleeping Vikings lie in my experience. They kill trollers you know?

Sherlock already knows. The question is if Sherlock cares.

I'm not sure he did, Tin. And I should know, I lived next door to Tolks for a few years - and met Bombur in Lake Town once...

Maybe not alot directly, but subtly he was! I do specifically remember a part in the Hobbit where Bombur's size is made fun of!

I'm not sure I remember anything either,
You could be right, but where?
Was it when he fell in the Enchanted Stream,
Or when he sat on a squishy pear?
As quoted from one of PJ's script ideas from the Movies.

Re: News from the set
Oh that's the kind of humour PJ's going for, is it Wisey... Ho ho ho!
Hey, I've got a brilliant idea!
Bifur (or perhaps Bofur) could slip a fart cushion onto Bombur's chair in Bilbo's living room... Get it? Just as the big fatso is about to sit down... That's gotta get a laugh, surely.

I'm not sure Bifur is that clever. After all, who leaves an axe in their forehead? Or better yet, who get's hit in the head with an axe?(And DOESN'T die?)

It only happens in Pjearth, Your Majesty - only in Pjearth. (NOTE: Pjearth: I think it'll stick and yours truly just coined it, just then! Sat 4 Feb 2012 5.47pm Ozhobbiton time).

LOL
On the other hand, someone with an axe in his brain might not realize he is supposed to die, if he is; and maybe it's easy to forget that there's an axe in your head if there's an axe in your head.

Re: News from the set
Watching the interviewswith Mccoy (see Doctor Who thread) in it he says this when speaking of the hobbit;
'..Andy Serkis..he's the second unit director..and we've done scenes together. And we get on really well because he is a physical actor and I was a physical actor we have a shorthand.'
I think that just means Serkis understood him as a director, rather than they had any scenes together (I hope not!). Wonder also if it means Serkis is shooting the WC stuff, leaving PJ to concentrate on the main story.

Re: News from the set
I'm surprised Aragorn beat Captain Jack Sparrow. At least Cap'n Jack got #2, though.
EDIT: Bwahahaha, Gollum is at #10! (For comparison, Edward Cullen is as low as #12 and my current avatar is at #9 so I guess I can't complain.) Full list

Re: News from the set
He's the unnamed Driver from Drive. I like my Watson avatar too but I just saw Drive a week ago and fell in love with it. It's an awesome movie and it keeps growing on me.
Re: News from the set

u changed ur avatar just kidding, who's that handsome fellow?

Re: News from the set
The actor's name is Ryan Gosling. Before last year he was probably most famous for The Notebook, though I've never seen that. He was excellent in Drive though. The character had very few lines so it was mostly physical acting and expressiveness and I thought he did an excellent job. Not that being handsome hurts.
