Interesting that Moffat knew who he wanted and didn't do big auditions this time. It'll be interesting to see how this changes the dynamic with Clara too.

Only time he used his own is in the episode set in Scotland with Queen Victoria and the werewolf- and in that scene the Doctor is meant to be putting on a scottish accent, but its actually the only time David uses his actual accent.

Yup, more I think about it more I like the choice.
I think like Davidson following Tom Baker you cant do more quirky, more alien after Matt, you have to go back the other way and reel it back in again, more gravitas- I am guessing thats what Moffat is thinking.

I reckon Moffat will want to make us cry.
Costume will be interesting. Id guess a bowtie would be out as its now to associated with 11, as is tweed and possible braces.
Boots or trainers of some sort will probably stay as they are practical both in role and for the actor.
Beyond that I have no idea.

The general consensus on the Who forums is a huge thumbs up- most seem happily surprised after two young Doctors the BBC didnt take the easy option and repeat the formula and have went older.
