I like it. Remind me to get you some catnip some time!

I like this vid-if only because it has near the start the very first utterence of Doctor Who by the Doctor (in the very first episode in fact- The Unearthly Child)

I preferred part 1 of it to part 2 but I liked the concept a lot. I thought Rings of Akheten was a sort of companion piece to this- completely different approach but it touches on some of the same concepts of the nature of something ancient and what is a deity and is the Doctor one by the usual yard stick for deciding?

A fav of mine from about that period is Midnight- not just a fav episode from the RTD era, but an RTD penned episode- see Mrs Figg I dont hate RTD, he really can write Who, when he remembers its not eastenders. Mad Fortunetly Midnight is the real Doctor Who [4] - Page 33 1067764964 deal.

Trailer for next weeks highly intriguing episode Journey to the Centre of the Tardis (and for once it doesn't look like Moffat is pulling our leg with the title- this seems more a Dinosaurs on a Spaceship title, or as my brother calls them, ronseal episodes, they do exactly what they say on the tin!)

OMG I loved that episode HIDE. it was bloody great, old fashioned spooky at the beginning, I loved the romance bit too. only thing that link didnt work Petty it conked out half way so I havent seen all the episode, exactly half of it. I saw up to the little 'tour' they took, which was very moving, great acting from all concerned. I actuall like Matt Smith in this episode, what the hell!!

Every building over 100 years old in the Uk looks more or less like that Norc!

Well my nieces were suitably scared but loved this weeks episode. The youngest when asked if she liked it (she is 3) said "Oh yes! There were ghosts!" Oh and the eldest (6 years old) said "I like Clara. I want to be called Clara now."

There is hope for you yet Figgs- sadly Im on another pc and not at home- but will try to find a working link when I get back- check back in a couple of hours.

Hi Tin- glad youre still watching- the snowmen was the midpoint of series 7- there are 4 more episodes after the Snowmen for you to catch up on.

And yes River is still about- she is in the finale of series 7 going on the poster for it (I take it from that question you havent seen the Angels Take Manhatten yet? The Ponds swansong)

Hmmm, I don't recall asking (recently) about Doctor Who and River Song, though I'm sure I did somewhere. What post were you referring to Petty?
And I'm all caught up! Have been all season!
Have to say I like Clara way better than the ponds, and each episode is getting better and better! I don't like the lack of overall storyline, but whatever. It's something different Shrugging

No idea Tin- logged in on another computer- saw a post from you asking about River- made the reply, then when I got home to my own pc couldnt find your post again! Shocked I may just have gone mad, again. Or I may just be very drunk. Very Happy

Very Happy

Those first two pics are from this weeks upcoming epiose- Journey to the Centre of the Tardis. (Ive spoilered the last one Chris- as its 50th anniversary episode stuff)

Stumbled across this-

Doctor Who' series eight may welcome back writer Cris Chibnall.

Chris, who penned the hit whodunnit drama Broadchurch currently showing on ITV, told CultBox he has been asked to come back and write more 'Doctor Who' episodes.
"So we'll just see if all the schedules figure out and stuff like that. But it's always lovely to be on the list."
He said: "I hope to [return for series eight], and Steven's [Moffat] been good enough to ask.
Chris called writing for 'Doctor Who' "a privilege and an honour" and said: "It's a delight to go in and write a 'Doctor Who' [episode].
"Steven is a great showrunner to work for, and you always do a 'Doctor Who' if there's time, because you can tell stories you can't tell anywhere else."
It's expected the eighth series of Doctor Who will follow November's 50th anniversary special and December's Christmas special.'

If thats accurate then its the first confirmation of series 8 and would seem Moffat will still be showrunner for it. cheers
