If its only copied the shortcut it might not be the installer file you need.
Check your download folder maybe and see if the installer file is there.

It should be called something like vlc-2.01 (or whatever version No. it is)-win32

If you right click on it you can double check its the right one by then selecting the 'details' tab in the pop up window that appears. If its says type- application. Its the right one.

If you dont have the installer file, but you are sure its installed already you could try going to the programs folder and finding it and just copying the entire folder and pasting it into your porgram folder on the other computer.

Did I give you Silence in the Library/Forest of the Dead David?
If so you should really watch those before watching any more of series 5 after the 11th Hour.

I took your advise Petty and watched Library and Forest last night.

Little stuff I can let pass, but fundamental rules have me curious.

Is there some reason why the Doctor would be killed permanently by hooking up to the Library rather than just regenerating like he's done so many times before?

And he does regenerate anyway, which River presumably would have known, so what exactly did she think she was accomplishing by taking the hit for him?

I guess I'm wondering how closely should I be analyzing all this.... scratch

Regeneration is not a guarantee David- if you get atomized there is nothing left to regenerate- and a Time Lord can also be killed during the process.
It can also be prevented from happening by a few rare poisons.
It doesnt make him like Superman or anything- he can still be killed without possibility of regenerating (there is also a 13 times limit, sort of, on regeneration- but thats a whole other complicated matter!)

River must have known that what she was doing would be too complete a death for regeneration to occur- if the Doctor had done it and died then they would never meet in the Doctors future- rather than that she took her own life (with hindsight she also has other reasons than just her own past with him, but spoilers!)

Rings of Ak... whatever. Clara's got lovely swishy hair, I really liked that. The landings of the moped was hysterical. That + rubbery aliens gave me quite a few old B-movie tricks feels.

Yeah the effects go from rather nice to wonderfuly old skool throughout the episode.
But what did youmke of the ep itself- given its controversial reception with many hailing it as the worst epiosde of NuWho ever and many claiming it among the best Nuwho ever- where do you come down on that line Amarie?

Hows the viewing going Dave?- have you wayched 11th Hour yet?- once you do let me know as I have a deleted scene that was only cut for time that belongs on the end of it but that is worth the watch.

Yes I've finished 11th hour, and last night I watched Time of Angels. Not Flesh and Stone though. I think it would have been just fine to have met River for the first time in Angels, a confused chronology is almost a plus for her, but I did enjoy Library/Forest.

Have you thought of a strategy for how to get the deleted scene to me? It might be a bit of a challenge.

No, not yet- its not long, being just a scene- its on youtube so you could try buffering it on there at lowest playback settings.
