Re: The 2012 Forumshire Awards sponsored by NotP and Buckie
Forumshire is illuminated by many things; its members, their words, but also their pictures, their drawings, their computer art.
In celebration of those who like to give treats to our eyes comes the award for Best graphic/illusrator.
And the award goes to.........Norc!
The sweary mistress of the gifs bags the nights most fashionable award.

Another well-earned victory! I've said it a ton of times before, but I love your drawings, Norc. The GIFs are the extra cherry on top.
Congrats on a very impressive haul in your rookie year at the Awards!

There will now be a five minute interval to restock on buckie and nibbles before we return for the second, and final part of the show- the Hobbit Movie Awards.
What will Forumshires verdict be? Stay tuned to find out.

I agree Kafria, it's great how much the Creative Corner has grown! I look forward to another year of reading all the work people share here. I find it really inspiring and encouraging, especially at times when I'm feeling less motivated with my own writing.
Re: The 2012 Forumshire Awards sponsored by NotP and Buckie
I'm curious to see what the verdict on The Hobbit will be. I don't predict any happy endings for Azog.
Re: The 2012 Forumshire Awards sponsored by NotP and Buckie
No, think a bullroarer club is exactly what Azog needs.... Maybe we can get Queen Tin to remove him!

Re: The 2012 Forumshire Awards sponsored by NotP and Buckie
Welcome back Forumshire to the second half of the NotP sponsored 2012 Forumshire Awards.
This part of the show is the awards for The Hobbit Movie. But more than mere awards these votes indicate better perhaps than any amount of reviews what Forumshire liked and did not like about Pj's latest film.
We start on a positive note, with the question what did we like the best? What was Forumshires favourite scene?
This was very closley contested bbetween two nominees with, in the end only one point seperating them.
But, beating Riddles in the Dark into second place by just one vote the winner is......Unexpected Party.
The message seems clear- we liked it when it was Tolkien based. Got it PJ?

Is the midnight sun getting to you, Norc?
Re: The 2012 Forumshire Awards sponsored by NotP and Buckie
The Unexpected Party was definitely a nice scene, though I did think it went for too long. But it's a respectable winner.
Re: The 2012 Forumshire Awards sponsored by NotP and Buckie
I thought Riddles in the Dark was the most Tolkien based of the two of them, I voted for that one I think. Tough, an unexpected party was great (Kili <3 )
Re: The 2012 Forumshire Awards sponsored by NotP and Buckie
There are 13, for want of a better word, dwarves in PJ's The Hobbit, but who did we warm too?
Were we taken in by stubble and handsome boyish looks? Or did we shun it for a bigger beard and a more mature character?
From 13 to 1, in a clear cut landslide win Forumshires favourite dwarf is....Balin.
It seems we like dwarves as Tolkien wrote them PJ- with beards and personality and reality about them- not looking like the latest boy band and having the same amount of personality.

Oh yeah. Polar regions, how do they work?
Re: The 2012 Forumshire Awards sponsored by NotP and Buckie
I fully approve of Balin as Best Dwarf. He was one of the stand-outs, along with Bofur the Mongolian Sheep-herder (I know, I was surprised too) and Thorin. But the beard definitely helped him in my book.
