ahh a female argument- enough said!

if you edits sucks then it will ruin my view on the original LOTR and if they don't it'll do the same.

But if they dont suck then you will have an even better version to enjoy, no? And there already are two alternative versions out there officially, the theatrical and EE's, just think of this as a third option. It won't change which version is your favourite even if you don't enjoy it.

Everything is synched Norc. Its been done to be as smooth a watch as I can possibly make it without access to the original film and a Hollywood editing suite.

but still.. I'm being stubborn, maybe if I had a taste of it first and see if a wanted the hole cake. See if I would dare use several (probably) hours downloading urs.

I can assure you that the quality of the edits (both video and audio) is just as good as the DVDs

DVD! I was aiming for blue-ray.

Norc- the uploads are split into 'books'- so can download book 1 (up to the ford of Rivendell same as the book) and watch it without having the other bits if you want to watch a chunk and see.

I'm afraid DVD and BR quality looks much the same on my poor old computer

much as I would like to see it I cant my computer is too tiny, it wouldnt download a hobbit sized film without squeaking. But I dont want to watch LOTR at the moment, I probably wont for a year or two, I wont read the books again for a couple of years either, I dont want them to get so familiar I get bored, that would be terrible. I just wish I were seeing them all for the first time, I really envy people who are starting that first page for the first time.


If I knew how to fix such things, I could help you while I'm trapped in your internal workings, Mrs Figg - sadly I don't know anything about fixing computers. Sorry.

maybe next weekend I could start working on TT, but after June I go into hiding for 2 months, won't even have time to sit in front of the computer for more than a few minutes a day.

I'm running two summer camps back to back, then a two week teacher training workshop. I'd rather be hibernating: I have no summer to speak of.

Thats no way to spend a summer- you should only have to go to a sumer camp if you are a fat wheezy teenager surely?
Hope you get a chance for a watch of TT befpore you go- keen to know your thoughts on it as its from there I start to seriously deviate from PJ's cut. FotR is more tinkering, TT and RotK is wholesale reordering at cuttting.

Hey! I'm not a fat, wheezy teenager, yet I'm going to summer camp!

Ah but your Fjordian Norc- that's different. Going outdoors is stil normal and not a once in a lifetime event! Poor Halfwise is in America where I believe the starting size for summer camp kids is about 15 stone!
