cheers OMG Petty I love all this new news!

Rose and Tennant cheers

This new chick in Victorian steampunk garb cheers cheers sunny

cant wait.

dear Norclet, it just seems logical to go from 1-6 so you can get the overall history and feel of NuWho, not because I dont like 11. You are welcome to like Ponds. Very Happy and do try the xmas special with 11 that Petty mentioned, it was amazing so its not true I dont like all 11 episodes. watch out for Bill Bailey.
it was wonderfully atmospheric.

Yes do watch earlier Who Norc. I only suggested starting at series 5 as itseemed highly unlikely you would be up to date starting at 1 for the new series.
And series 5 and 6 are more directly essential to whats going on at th emoment than 1-4.

I would say start at an Unearthly Child- 1st Docotor 1st episode- but I suppose thats not to realistsic so go for series 1 of NUwho.

Rumour mill has is Mrs Figg Moffat wants Eccy to make some sort of appearence in the 50th- of the NuWho Doctors he will be trickiest to get as he left under a bit of a black cloud- but I think that was somethng to do with RTD and his crew- not sure. So here's hoping.

Story is a bit silly, even for Who. But Donna is great in it and the 'poison scene' is classic. Very Happy

I said the poison scene was good- but story wise up until silence in the library that series is considered, well, not the greatest for stories.
Which is a shame as when there are good stories with Donna (Turn left is a personall favourite) they are brilliant.
But most of the start of that series- the terrible atmos two parter and the wasp episode- is not brilliant for narrative.

Each to their own Mrs Figg- the God Complex is at least about something.
And you really thought the atmos thing was a good story?- and not say completely flawed and full of plot holes you could drive a double decker bus through, sideways?

Well it had to happen eventually- the 11th Hour is no longer the no1 most watched program ever on the BBC i-player.
Having beat off Sherlock, Frozen Planet and all else as the most watched program since the i-player was launched in 2007 its finally been nudged into second place by the Olympic Opening Ceremony, which had 3.4 million viewings compared to 11th Hours 2.85 million.
(Sherlock: A Scandal in Belgravia is in 3rd for the record but a good way behind 11th Hour).

I actually didnt like the episode much, but I was worried about Donna. There really is a Moffat style and I dont respond to it very well, its a lot slicker and sharper but less humourous and warm than the non Moffat episodes, in my own personal opinion obviously. and I am not keen on River either. sacriledge I know. pale

Yet you liked the ww2 two parter with Eccy- and that's also a Moffat and very much in his style too. Odd.

you mean the one with Jack? and the zeppelin? cant remember. But seeing the change back to back and suddenly, the style change is drastic and obvious. It feels like 2 different programms sometimes. In the Library one Donna just stands around doing nothing, its like Moffat is bored of hergives her nothing to do,and decides to kill her off, she has no dialogue hardly and nothing is witty and is not her usual brash self, its like she is diminished. Its all about River
