Norc, m'young love, I'd love to come to fyordlandia. It's actually slightly cheaper than the UK ($780). Do you have floor space for us to unroll bedmats like a pack of dwarves? may be less central though. If at least 4 are coming together I'm in.

And how can US be cheaper than UK? Are you serious? If nobody minds being stacked like peas in a pod I'd happily put everyone up in Manhattan.

seriously? as a tourist fjordlandia is the most expensive plase to be! (if you don't mind sleeping in tents.. maybe.. dunno about central though, is anything here central?)

Had a memorable night once in London. First of all, you stay in youth hostels not to sleep (like that's even possible) but for the experiences.

So I got shoveled into a room with 3 other Brit blokes. I of course was the first one back to bed. An hour or two later the lights fly on and they come stumbling in, looking for their bags. but I kept hearing this absolute fountain of coins hitting the floor with one guy muttering under his breath at each new eruption. Must have been at least a thousand of them hitting the floor: every time I heard another drunken step there'd be another cascade.

I kept my head down, but inquired the next morning. Turns out one guy attempted to tip the barmaid by slapping down a 50 pound note and asking for change for about a 1 pound tip. he must have been a bit saucy in the way he did it, for she gave him the change in the smallest coins she could find. There was nothing he could do but take his medicine. Still makes me smile.

London is not unfriendly.... so long as you keep off he roads, stand on the right on the escalators, dont ask anyone for the time or directions, and generally dont speak to anyone.

Some people compare it to a happier, friendlier Disneyland (the French one of course)

indeed, wdkgjhjvvkm bkbnkbkvkkc!!!!! maybe its for the 21st? isnt that a Tolkien date?
and I think Oxford is the best place, we should all meet in the Duck and Muck or whatever its called, The Eagle and Child I seem to remember. Have a few lager and limes (not Norc, she can have orange juice) and then go to the local cinematic theatre and listen to Petty wailing and grunting, what larks!
