There's been a short press release about the first episode in the second half of this series, 'Let's Kill Hitler'.

"In the desperate search for Melody Pond, the TARDIS crash lands in 1930s Berlin, bringing the Doctor face to face with the greatest war criminal in the Universe. And Hitler."

Very Happy

The BBC have put a 2 minute clip up from Torchwood Miracle Day. Still not sure about this and in particular how it being made by a US tv company is going to affect it. Apart from the obvious rise in guns and explosions.

Well I saw the first episode of the new Torchwood today. And despite myself I thoroughly enjoyed it. True there was more guns than before, and I could have done without the cliche helicopter attack on the beach bit but other than that, nice premise, well realized. No homosexual or bisexual stuff in it which is unusual for Torchwood, Captian Jack doesn't even flirt with anyone! I wonder if thats a response to an American tv company now making it?
It definetly seems quite Americianized even although Russel T Davies is still the main writer, be interesting to see if Americans still find it quite British. And not convinced yet theres enough here to fill 10 episodes. Time will tell.

Torchwood is usually more like this;

I have no idea about US tv. Would this be considered to far for mainstream prime time? Cause no one bats an eye here about it. But the new series definetly seemed a bit short on the sex front!
And to answer the question this video poses- no he is not. He doesnt even stick to one species, so individual sex within a species doesn't even register for him. He's a 51st Century guy!

Baingil you seem to have influence over Eldo, watch this episode and then rave about it to him till he watches it (and you will cause its the greatest tv show on the planet).
The lengths I go to to spread the word, BBC should give me a buckie allowance or something. Mmm maybe I should get in touch with them, on second thoughts better not in case they decide to inquire after the status of my TV licence! (Well can't afford buckie and a licence and you need buckie to soften up the brain just to watch tv!)

Mad I don;t know, sure I used to more persuasive than this! Or was that just bloody minded- hard to remeber now. And just how lazy do you need to be to not watch something?!!! (Bloomin' youth sitting about all day in their ipad/phone/headset thing on drugs most likely being feckless and undermining society) Its only looking-your probably doing it right now. Shocked Much better to be looking at Who- trust me I'm a friend of the Doctor. Very Happy

Mad This is even harder than persuading Eldo- it has strong female role models you know (does that sort of thing really appeal to the female mind? Ah well worth a go) and its not got a plot you need to be einstein to follow- I'm sure you could muster the attention span to follow it. Even with a female mind!

Fine I was just tryng to lure you in- its complicated- but not really- but it is. Its Doctor Who harder to explain than it is to watch the bloomin thing! But this will easily keep you involed for 50 mins. Give the precredits bit a go- if that doesnt intrigue enough fair enough.

There's a trailer for the second half of the current season of Who up on the BBC doctor Who website. This from comiccon.

Bring on the answers!!

More Who news- Karen Gillan has confirmed at Comic Con that she will be staying on Doctor Who for at least the next series (series 33!!-cant be many shows run into their 33rd series), despite bagging herself other tv roles and a West End Theatre debut. Hurrah! Love Amy as a character and Karen, well whats not to like?!
No word on whether Arthur Darvill is signed back up for Rory, but then I have suspected Rory may sadly be a 'good man'. Crying or Very sad
