I agree, Norc. I think the second movie will stand or fall on how it handles the "Inside Information" chapter (Bilbo vs. Smaug) in the same way the success of the first movie will hang on "Riddles in the Dark". Whatever else they do, I hope they never forget that the primary story is Bilbo's, and we shouldn't see/learn things before he does.

I can see Pj opening film 2 with a flashback to Smaugs attack on the Lonely Mountain. I hope if he does however that at most we only get tantalising glimpses of Smaug and Pj leaves the damage he does to be the impression of him. 'We shouldn't see Smaug before Bilbo,' Norc that should probably be tatooed onto PJ somewhere lest he forgets in his excitment.

I really doubt they reveal Smaug before film2 lawyers will have binding spells on and everything.

Past form does not bode well here- Pj tells the viewer all about the Ring before Frodo finds out about it for example. He tells the viewer all about the Ringwraiths before Frodo even sees one.

I agree Mrs Figg any images of Smaug before film 2 hits the cinema in a year and a halfs time are highly unlikely and if they do appear PJ's lawyers will be all over them.

I spy Elthir about Forumshire- how old is Bard in TH Elthir? Enquiring minds are too lazy and drunk to find out for themselves!

I was thinking particularly of your re-edit of LotR when I wrote this. I have low expectations as well, but I'm hoping there will be enough good content, however chopped up, that you can sort it out after the fact. Please?

You dont want a reveal of me- just a big hairy arse as being a Scothobit thats what we instinctivley show to cameras (our airports are interesting to behold when they check peoples passport photos)
