My cat carrier emits vowels... when in use!- Elthir

{{vowels or yowls? (I am assuming when you say 'in use' you mean by a cat, but then again you are a Lore Master, and so naturally peculiar like all geniuses, so who knows to what use you may put a cat carrier.  Shocked  )}}}

I need to get me to a punnery! Embarassed

I sometimes put certain vowels (occasionally semi-vowels) in cat carriers: eeeeoouuuuuu... but consonants such as grrrrrrrrrrr are for dog carriers of course}}

{{{My oldest cat has got increasingly crabbit as the years have gone on- I'm so proud of her! I love you

But Figg you might want to try mixing the fish up with red meat, she might be needing a bit extra taurine and there is more in red meat, particularly meat from the muscles of the animal}}}

That's great, figg Very Happy We had a cat who disappeared for months, until somebody called us and said they'd found our cat (she had one of those chips in one of her ears). It was a three-hour drive away or something close, so that must've been quite the walk on those small feet. She stayed home until she died then - I was 17 or 18, and my mother started thinking about how old she'd actually been. I asked my mother how old she was then, as I couldn't remember a time in my life without her. My mother started counting and found out she had to have been at least 21, because they got her a while before my older brother (two years older than me) was born. People who say pets can't be family members when they stick around for so long have never cared for one. Hope Pixie will be all right Smile

Thanks Ringo. I went through a week of hell when I thought she was dead. it was like a miracle when I saw her by chance. they really do have 9 lives. I wonder why they wander off though.

I don't agree with Tolkien's general outlook on cats, but, well ... sometimes it's hard not to see that side.

I've been on a bit of a Lore kick in TORn's Reading Room forum lately which has inspired me to finally try to organize some of my thoughts about Númenóreans and Gondorians and the labels they used for themselves into semi-presentable form, although it's not nearly as ambitious as I had considered making it in the past (which I think is a good thing Razz). Anyway, it's in part the product of ideas that I started to consider when I wrote my Imrazôr post which I posted a link to in thread a couple years ago, so I figure I'll do the same now. Smile

I don't have the type of mind that can keep enough details all rattling around together to link up like that. Interesting to see such analysis at work.

I know I sent the link to the cleaned-up version of "Who is a Númenórean?" to Petty, but I finished it during one of my absences so I didn't post it directly on here. I'm all excited right now, though, since the tumblr version got a new flurry of reblogs and likes today which took it over 100 notes and makes it my most popular essay on that site (surpassing "Ancalagon the Black: a case study"). Just wanted to squee about that since it's the piece of Lore writing I'm most proud of (both for the finished product and because the research process took so damn long) and it's really gratifying to know it connected with other people. Smile Pales in comparison to the reach of the old version of the Eagle essay on my Wordpress blog, but we're in a slower era and this is a vastly more esoteric subject, so whaddaya gonna do? Razz
