As far as I know I haven't added any weight since arriving here. I try to get an aerobic workout regularly, and fake loremastering keeps me somewhat busy, but in any case my old weskit fits just the same.
You want to know what I imagine? OK, but you realize this is about as personal as asking me to describe my first girlfriend.
Well I realized it when you said so. It was harder to realize before that when I asked

As you can see my 'title' is prentice (apprentice to Sharrasi)...
... so I work for Sharrasi the Great and get paid with instruction, but part of that agreement includes that which I have noted already. Discussion of horse colour arguably makes the noble name of Sharrasi more likely to arise on the web, and thus kept in circulation, spreading its fame.
Or I assume that's why it's in there anyway.

Re: Questions for the Lore Masters.
Oh I see. I would advise trying dogs then, although there seems hardly room for many in that picture. If you try one you could call him or her 'Cousin Greylegs' (a wolf name) too.
Christopher Tolkien uses wild boars, or so I hear. I imagine they are white.

He uses boars to keep crazy fans from his estate, right?

Well it's only a rumour... but wild boars of the white variety are very docile and have learned to only scare (not hurt or kill) people that they deem to be crazy fans... so they would be a good choice.

Re: Questions for the Lore Masters.
Christopher Tolkien hunted down and captured the wild kine of Araw and brought them to Southern France with him.
Re: Questions for the Lore Masters.
Wait ... according to Google kine means cow.
My joke makes no sense now.
I guess I should have checked this before posting.

Re: Questions for the Lore Masters.
I have been routing around in Letters to see if I glean any info on why Saron was known as the Necromancer during TH time period.
And if his name is anyway linked to resurrecting dead bodies.
And this was all I could find-
Letter 130
And finally they (the Rings of Power) had other powers, more directly derived from Sauron ('the Necromancer: so he is called as he casts a fleeting shadow and presage on the pages of TH): such as endering invisible the material body, and making things of the invisible world visible.'
If those powers are derived from Sauron then perhaps the ability to see the unseen earned him the name?

Re: Questions for the Lore Masters.
If I recall correctly Sauron created "werewolves" by imprisoning spirits within wolf bodies. I've always thought the necromancer name may have come from that.* Of course, the out-of-universe explanation is that Tolkien came up with the name "the Necromancer" long before he had the idea that it was actually Sauron. The quote you give seems to imply that the name was chosen because of the character's role in the story of The Hobbit (casting a fleeting shadow, etc).
*I am too tired/lazy to look up a citation for this right now; Elthir might know off the top of his head if he sees this thread.
