Dark Planet Day Challenge: Forumshire fanfic
As you may have heard, today is the first DARK PLANET DAY celebrations of Forumshire. There have been many debates and controversies over the true sequence of events from those dark days. Perhaps the most enduring myth rumor has been the involvement of Odo Banks in the creation of Modern Forumshire.
To honor all those who participated in those events, as well as those who joined later but are just too cool, I am proud to announce the first ever FORUMSHIRE FANFIC CHALLENGE. If you have frequented the Creative Corner recently you have probably seen various stories starring members of the forum, from Nuwest Who to The Needlehole Mysteries to Mrs Figg's Agent Nora tales.
The DPD challenge is to tell a short story that shows what certain (or all) members of the forum were up to on the original Dark Planet Day a year ago. It can be set in Forumshire, the Dark Planet, or Bree-land and star people who didn't techinically join until much later. It can also be serious, zany, or however you like to write, even if you don't have much practice. The point is to have fun and let your free spirit creativity flow!
There may or may not be a completely impartial panel of judges to select the best stories for an as-yet-undetermined prize, but please don't let that stop you from contributing! If you'd rather contribute a poem, picture, newspaper, or video (Orwell ) instead of a short story feel free. Enjoy the commemoration of Forumshire's heritage!
EDIT: Thank you so much to all of you for the wonderful response! Since we have so many stories overlapping each other, please consult the following list in order to read each tale in sequence.

Re: Dark Planet Day Challenge: Forumshire fanfic
The Great Lord Eldorion sat on his golden throne and twitched his long royal blue cape encrusted with twinkly silver stars and remnants of mummified bogies. It was Winter in the Shire and bathtime was a long forgotten memory, as was hand washing before meals and pongy sock changing. He shifted uncomfortably, his wrist still throbbing after the accident with the Court Jester, the slippy floor and the embarrased silence as the two were prised apart with a yucky squelchy noise. (he said it was a skiing accident but nobody believed him) He was not happy. The nearby Emperor of The Dark Planet was threatening his realm, and demanding tribute. He wanted king Eldos hand in marriage as his last "wifey" had run off with an accountant called Kevin to run a gym and tanning salon in Jersey. Eldo had no intention of marrying The dark Lord Taz and was determined to run things in an altogether free spirited and slightly barking manner. His only allies were Orwell The Baron of Acid Reflux-on-sea, and Count McTyrant the lord of all Disparaging Remarks and chief Shit Stirrer at court. They had bonded over cocktails and nibbles in the local wine bar, like boys do, and decided to make a stand. McTyrant had the mad light of Indipendance from all Imperial Oppression in his eyes, and had a poster of Sean Connery in a kilt blue tacked over his fourposter bed. Orwell was hopping mad. The three brave warriors made their move and called Emperor Taz out to fight, as long as there was no hair pulling or Chinese Burns as Orwell had delicate skin. The day of the deadly duel drew nigh, and Lo and Behold O Thee of ambivalent interest there was a gnashing of teeth and stamping of feet, but it was quite parky out, and there was a medium sized battle which the boys kinda won, and yea behold all was dinkum mate, for The Righteous won, natch

I love it! Thank you very much for all your contributions to this thread, Mrs Figg. I may try to come up with an entry of my own later when I have a moment.

Queen Tin was glad she had magic powers, Beren had gone out again without changing his undies for a week. She lassooed him with her magic hair, and told him to go inside and change his smelly socks, as they could stun a stone troll, even one already turned to stone.

Your work on this thread is BRILLIANT. One image is better than the next. I just wish my post could have stayed within the beautiful theme you established.

Mrs Figg has a better eye for paintings than I do, so I'll go in a slightly different direction.
