Our black labrador cut his paws last week and we had him all bandaged up and had to put plastic over them to keep dry.

Same result!

It was a lovely sunny day yesterday. Took my pooch out in the morning & got this pic of the sun rising up & glowing thru a hedge of Copper Beech.

How did a California plate end up in Jolly Ole??

We also have to remember that California is only liberal in the cities.

This is the 2nd Dalek Ive seen down here recently. Im thinking its the start of a colonisation. Here is meant to be a town full of old biddies so it wouldn't take much to over run the place pale

I'm working and staying in an apartment on the 38th floor of a building in downtown San Francisco right now, and on my evening walks around the streets I've noticed these little police telephones, antiques, on poles on some of the street corners. Reminded me of police telephone boxes, of course, and I was tempted to take a picture for the Who thread. But alas, my coworkers were in too much of a rush to get to the bar and I didn't stop.

It was quite small, like an old-fashioned metal mailbox. I saw another one last night, and this one, or perhaps all of them but I had not noticed, had a fire-alarm button thing in it.

Ah, here's an article talking about them: https://www.sfgate.com/bayarea/article/Why-S-F-still-counts-on-street-fire-alarm-boxes-3081293.php

those are cute! (Is that Steven King using one?)

It says New York City has them, but if so they are not as prominent as those San Francisco ones. There's all sorts of abandoned technology like pay phones that get ignored as a matter of course when walking down the street. I'll have to keep my eyes open now.
