Little boy Knocked on my door and asked if he could have his drone back. He thinks it landed in the back garden.
How times have changed. In my day it was can we have our ball back.

Re: Tales of Home [9]
Typically means scattering by very small particles: violet is the shortest wavelength; longer waves pass right through. Like the way you don't effect waves at a beach but you do affect smaller ripples.

{{ So no psychdelic beyond the grave Hendrix? No magic carrots? No mystical faery Queen in a bit of a mauve mood? No foreshadowing of the arrival of the Purple People Eater?
Just small particles and wavelengths?
You know this is why people dont like science!!
Az- snowdrops already? Thats a sure sign the faery folk have had a bad summer holiday in foreign worlds and cut it short to come home early in a fit of annoyance, where they have set about putting up their winter decorations Nothing surer
Though Halfy will probabaly come along and try to tell you its got something to do with temperture, precipitation and the length of sunbeams! }}

Re: Tales of Home [9]
{{ Its 3am, I'm at work in the hotel and something odd is happening! So um writing this in case I dont come back!
You see outside the hotel, especially at the rear which backs onto the hillside and cliffs there are motion sensing lights- and for the past hour or so they keep going off but so far Ive been unable to catch whatever is setting them off. Now normally I'll spot a cat or some such that's the culprit, but Ive never seen it go on this long or for me not to be able to spot what is setting them off. So Im off out, taking my camera with me to record my exploits and see if I cant track down whats switching all the external lights on at regular intervals. Hopefully I'll be reporting back, um if not then look for my camera footage to turn up on a youtube vid called somethinglike 5 top unexplained mysterious disappearances! }}}

{{ Unlikely- theres rat traps everywhere, rats and hotels are not a good look so thats a problem that stamped on pretty heavy. Its usually cats, foxes or the occasional bird and once a young deer that sets them off, but buggered if I know what was going on last night, I had lights popping on while I was out there but nothing to see setting them off!
Anyhow also stumbled upon this, another drone vid of my little town. Enjoy. Then come and visit (I know a very reasonable hotel you can stay at )}}

Re: Tales of Home [9]
I think all those mud shots can be dispensed with. Unfortunately the kind of shots that would really sell the place, like swooping through the streets to a nice pub, would get the drone pilot on the wrong side of public opinion unless publicized as an event before hand. A choreographed set of activities on display would be cool, ending with people raising their mugs outside a pub.
