Re: Game of Thrones [2]
Wow, still harshing on Forest.
This battle will be much better because with only two episodes left the plot-armor will be thin as ice.
Regarding shooting dragons: they should have had them up above a full cloud bank to get out of the rain, then the clouds break and .... oops.
I think at the end we see Drogon pretty far back for a reason, but I agree compared to the ship shots he wasn't clearly out of range.

Re: Game of Thrones [2]
yes ofcourse, when he ignores my argument and say we agree on something and we clearly don't, i won't sit on my ass and let it be with that. . i am done now though, i said what i wanted to say, and cleared up that we do not agree and i still don't like the way he argues the topic. i'd love to discuss GoT and i respect different opinion, but i will not tolerate being clearly ignored or having words being put in my mouth as some sort of petty suppression techniques. Let us act like adults and leave petty arguments at home, i want to discuss GoT in intelligent way.halfwise wrote:Wow, still harshing on Forest.

Re: Game of Thrones [2]
On re-reading the exchange I still don't see all the sub-text that you're seeing, but since you're letting it drop we'll all just let it go.
I'm sure everyone's noticed that they changed the geography of King's Landing to accommodate whatever is brewing. Something big is going to happen in the newly established treeless plain around King's Landing. I guess the scene where Cersei razed the mountains was cut for pacing reasons.

I think diving down from straight overhead is the ticket. Those scorpians can rotate but I don't think they can point straight up.

Along with everyone else.
Bran died years ago, really. And this new Three-eyed Raven is a poor replacement.
I see Norc is flexing her internet argument skillz, lol.
That's a good idea about Danaerys flying below a cloud-bank and coming suddenly into view of Euron's ships. Of course, Euron and Co. would be just as surprised as Danaerys in that scenario. But something like that would be an improvement over the "bolt out of the blue" situation.

Poor replacement for what? The old three-eyed raven couldn't even tell anyone what he was seeing, so what good was he?

On another note, I'm not sure which is more creepy, Norc's old avatar or her new one. They are both a combination of fluff and squelchy that are best left unimagined, much less imaged.

Bran as the TER is a poor replacement for Bran Stark, is what I mean.
I kept hamsters for a while as pets, so the sight of large rodent balls don't bother me.

Some rodents have surprisingly large balls.

Re: Game of Thrones [2]
Only one question after this episode, and it gives nothing away: "Yo bitch, the fuck was that about?!"

Re: Game of Thrones [2]
Not so keen on the way the story is developing / concluding. It's cliched, it's been done in nearly every fantasy story ever written.

Re: Game of Thrones [2]
It's lacking in subtlety and randomness. I'm hoping the last episode will redeem the last few. To me the high point of this season was episode 2; the writing sorely deteriorated after that.

Re: Game of Thrones [2]
What would you suggest that hasn't been done by fantasy already? The fall back would be it has probably been done in non-fantasy so probably have to check back through that too for the original idea....
I am not really sure how else it could conclude. Been fine for me given they only gave themselves 6 episodes to do it (which is my main problem with everything this season... rushed!)

Re: Game of Thrones [2]
The problems aren't with the fantasy elements but with the human elements and plot holes. The human element was there in spades in episode 2, but since then as you say it's felt rushed, we don't really feel it.

Re: Game of Thrones [2]
I don't think I am going to like the ending. Its going to make me feel sad and deflated.
- Spoiler:
- I guess now that she has gone full-on Mad Queen over a destroyed city, she will be the Queen of the Ashes like in her dream of the throne room. I think Arya will kill Dany and Drogon will fly off into legend. It would be nice if Jon says "fuq it all, I am going North", and he sets out alone and just as he reaches the ruins of the wall, Ghost is there waiting for him, Fin. The End.

Re: Game of Thrones [2]
- Spoiler:
- If Arya does the deed then I think people will go mental. She cant have the Night King, the entire Frey family and this.
I am going with Tyrion does it and tells Jon. Jon has to execute him for treason. No Iron throne left so kingdom breaks. Jon goes North of the wall, Sansa rules the North.
