Re: Game of Thrones [2]
If the unfun reality is awkward reunions that lack emotive power, awkward dialogue, and stilted acting. Then I guess I agree!

yep I agree too. Considering Jon has been through the worst time of all of them, having been actually murdered, its odd that he is the most human and warm of them all. He suffered but kept his Jon-ness, Arya has lost herself as has Sansa, they have become 'cold bitches who survived' it might be realistic but it isn't pleasant to watch. I think Jaime will be like Jon too, he went through shit but he is still capable of emotions.

Re: Game of Thrones [2]
I guess we are fair game for spoilers now then!
I thought Arya was as emotive as we have seen her since she realised her family was back in Winterfell. Her reunion with Jon was short but I thought the actors did a reasonable job.
I also thought the scene with Sam and Dany was really good and carried the most emotional resonance of the episode.
Bran isn't Bran any more so I thought his scenes were exactly as they needed to be.... he doesn't have time for this shit!
The two scenes that I thought fell a bit flat were Dany, Jon and waterfall and Dany, Bran and dead dragon.
Think that was cryptic enough for those in the know to get it and those not in the know to stay unspoiled!!

What nonsense that article was.
"And those famous brothel scenes? It seems those are all in the past."
Did they watch last episode?

We haven't seen the Hound/Sansa reunion yet either. She probably doesn't give a monkeys though.

Re: Game of Thrones [2]
I just realized that if we ever get Cleganebowl it will likely end with Arya giving the Hound a bit of unexpected help. The Mountain's on her list after all.

Re: Game of Thrones [2]
Isn't it Arya that the Hound refers to when he told his brother that he was not the one who would kill him?

Re: Game of Thrones [2]
Forest - I think the Hound is referring to himself and was suggesting that the Mountain knew Oberyn wouldn't be the one the killed him.
Re: Game of Thrones [2]
Yeah maybe. It was worded strangely.

Re: Game of Thrones [2]
Guess we will find out. Maybe he saw something in the flames and he knows the Mountain has also seen it...?
Re: Game of Thrones [2]
Dany, Bran and dead dragon.
No idea what you are talking about here. I don't even remember Dany talking to Bran.
- Spoiler:
I think the scene with Jon and Dany at the waterfalls intentionally fell flat because they are making out with two dragons watching them intently, and Jon was a bit weirded out. Could have been written better, admittedly.

I mean the bit where Bran says something like "we dont have time for this, the dead have your dragon and have breached the wall.'
Re: Game of Thrones [2]
Ah. That didn't bother me, it's just Bran being blunt because he knows time's a-wasting.

Re: Game of Thrones [2]
That was fine, was more Danys reaction of "oh my G... ooooo Jon Snow. let's go be teenagers somewhere."
She should have been in bits!

I am not keen on all the filming in the dark, its gone a bit David Yates. Helms Deep was at night but you can see whats happening very clearly.

The night is dark though and apparently the terrors it is full of is little zombie boys.
Re: Game of Thrones [2]
I have a fan theory I reckon I know how the Jaime/Brienne thing ends, Brienne will take a crossbow for Jaime and do a Ygritte in his arms. I hope not though I would like those two to ride off together, but something horrible will happen, just know it.

Re: Game of Thrones [2]
Jaime respects Brienne, he hasn't got a thing for her. I don't think Brienne gives a fig about him as a person. She'd fight beside him for the sake of honor (the sole basis of her relationship with him) but wouldn't take a crossbow bolt for him.

Re: Game of Thrones [2]
Poor Tormund.
Brienne loves Jaime because he is literally the only man to ever treat her with respect and liking. He also saved her life and gave her a super valuable sword. The feminine part of Brienne responds to that. The moment I knew she loved him was when she was sailing away in the boat and they silently salute each other. The look on her face said it all, that's lurve that is.

Re: Game of Thrones [2]
Tormund's puppy-love could never measure up.
Do you remember how frustrating it was to watch as Brienne and Jaime bonded during their time as prisoners, only for Jaime to trot back to King's Landing and rape Cersei over the corpse of Joffrey? That was disappointing, to say the least. I strongly prefer the book version, where there was no rape, and Jaime stayed distant from Cersei; eventually disappearing in the Riverlands with Stoneheart or Brienne or whoever it was.
shoot.
Why can't the next book come out?? It's only been 8 years...
Hey when do you think Melisandre is going to show back up? Next episode? If episode 3 is the Battle for Winterfell 2.0, then you'd think she would show up before that momentous occasion.
