Like most clever things posted to social media, its integrity begins to chip away with close examination.

(I'm ignoring that spoiler. I am being strong-willed.)

Don't think they're really in a car or they would have crashed.

Arya an expert in knowing when someones lying or telling the truth, but doesn't believe Sansa about the letter. Few holes in the 6th episode.
Loved it , but pretty weak script wise.

With seasons 1-4. Razz

So much nonsense going on right now. It's enough to remind one of a certain movie trilogy.

The way Maisie is wearing her seatbelt is really making me frustrated. I see so may youtubers and young people having the top strap down on their arm or even under their arm, like for fashion reasons or because they don't want that dent between their boobs or whatever. It's really the stupidest thing to do. if they crash, her back is gonna break. and posibly her head. literally. so. fucking. stupid. don't do it kids.

Since I don't get cable I have to follow along on web comments plus here. I was kinda always looking forward to the true Horn of Joramun being used to bring down the wall.

I don't remember a Faegon.

Doesn't King's Landing still need to burn?

S8:

Another dragon is lost at Winterfell fighting the zombie-Viserion. Alternatively, Cersei and her Golden Company peeps kill Rhaegal and Qyburn reanimates it, but only by replacing its damaged organs with gold parts instead. It belches gold instead of fire, and with this abundance Cersei buys out the Iron Bank.

The North is lost to the oncoming dead, survivors must retreat south. The Starks go to the Vale. Arya pushes her cousin out the moon door.

We only see the Dire wolves in badly projected re-used footage from previous seasons. Budget not big enough!

We see Meera Reed again, but only just in time for her to be killed by wights. But she blows herself up so its okay.

Noone talks about these people ever again: the Tullys, Jojen and Howland Reed, Catelyn and Rickon and Robb Stark, Viserys, Hodor, Mance Rayder, Shae, the Boltons, the Tyrells, Samwell's family, Daario, Ygritte, Khal Drogo, the High Sparrow, Barristan Selmy, anyone from Dorne, or the Baratheons.

Ah, I should have been able to figure that out.

Here's a very nice breakdown of show versus expected book plotlines: https://www.vox.com/culture/2017/8/28/16216920/winds-of-winter-release-date-news-chapters

I know its rushed, maybe they should have done 4 more seasons at 10 episodes each, but they didn't, and now it lacks pay-off. too many people meeting too quickly. Mad  in the old days it would have taken a whole season for Brienne and the Hound to meet up, now they do it all in one episode. No when Jon and Sansa met it felt right, but the rest of it fell a bit flat. I don't want mush, but I do want it to mean something. I must admit the finale had a lot of character work which had been missing. Also the music wasn't as epic this season. over all I enjoyed it and there were some great moments.

There was some great music this season! (some of it re-rashed from last season, but still...Last season's music was sometimes so good that the quality carries over!)

It's too surreal smashing all these characters together. It robs them of their history and homogenizes their characteristics. The Hound, for example, has a warrant out for him for abandoning the King's Guard back in Season 3 or 4 or whatever, but that doesn't play into anything here. There's no time for interaction between him and Jaime or Cersei. Even seeing him back in King's Landing threatening his brother doesn't feel quite right. His arc has been undermined by the necessity of Cleganebowl and the KingsintheNorthbowl of episode 6.
