Re: Tales of Home [7]
That sounds like a plan. I'll PM Radaghast and DJH since they might not have seen this thread, on the off chance they want to join us.

Didn't you go somewhere in southern Asia? Or was that during vacation before you took 4 months off?

Quick update regarding the Forumshire Moot (ie, mainly Halfy, unless anyone wants to hop on a plane to New York ). Raddy and DJH both expressed interest but aren't definite yet.
Re: Tales of Home [7]
Well, they don't have to go to the Tolkien thing. I'm going to be quite busy myself, and may cut out of the meeting early. I'm also going to be coming back on a bus from Long Island on Friday, supposedly getting home around 5 but I have suspicions.

Re: Tales of Home [7]
I dunno if it's 100% confirmed but it'd work great for me since it's within walking distance of my Airbnb room.
Re: Tales of Home [7]
This has just made me realize I've been posting here for nearly three years(!), and I still don't know most of your real names or what many of you actually look like (though in fairness the same probably holds true for me, and I'd prefer to keep it that way ), in some ways it would be more fun to not actually find out...

Re: Tales of Home [7]
Yeah, I'm a Jacob. My full name has been out there and connected with my online Tolkien activity for several years now, though there are a lot of similarly named people (very common name in my extended family). In the early days of Bree just about everyone used the Facebook registration tool so a lot of people's real names came out through that, but the FB registration thing went away around the end of 2011.
I've posted a fair few pictures on here too. Halfy made a collage at one point of everyone who had posted pics but I don't seem to have saved a copy.
Another Paul! I had thought maybe it was Terrence.

Perhaps 'sometimes a malick-fan' would have been a better idea (loved his first three films, liked Tree Of Life quite a lot but hated The New World, haven't even bothered seeing his more recent stuff, though The Voyage Of Time could be promising...I've often thought a Malick directed Ainulindalë would be interesting...) though I can't remember why I chose it in the first place...as you probably know I post on TORn occasionally under the same name as well, though I'm active on a couple of non-tolkien forums under different names.

Heh, "Eldo" was originally the name of a role-playing character when I was 14 (Imma avoid anymore details cause it's pretty cringe-worthy) that I changed my username too since I was trying to be more active of a RPer. I've only ever used it on Tolkien sites, though (and I guess stuff like my old Photobucket which was mostly just Tolkien stuff).
I could definitely see the Ainulindalë being a project up Malick's alley.
