Re: Tales of Home [7]
After a week or more of mostly 40-50 F weather, it's snowing again and layering rather steadily. The estimates I heard were up to 9 inches (23 cm) but I dunno if that's true or not.
Re: Tales of Home [7]
On radar the intense patches look pretty small, but if slow moving can build up.

It hasn't been too bad so far. Still falling but the streets remain clear. If there are any badly hit areas they aren't around here.
Re: Tales of Home [7]
This is Cornwall, right along the far left ( west ) of Briton, getting a thoroughly good soaking

Re: Tales of Home [7]
This is the start of the countryside behind where I live. It goes on for miles, you can follow it along the coast or inland towards farms & villages. I was walking Simi at 6AM & it does look frosty, which I thought it was but, then I saw one of the Golf Course staff walking thru it & it was mist as well, mist all the way up to his chest !!! I wish I could have got that shot ! It looked so weird to see a top half of a man & no legs gliding along.

Re: Tales of Home [7]
Its worse in the early darkness ! I wish I could have snapped that guy walking in it ! that would have been an awesome shot as all you could see was his chest & up. I had to dash back for my phone to get that snap. Praps IL be lucky another morning ?

Re: Tales of Home [7]
I think I must be getting more spiritual in my old age. Again, I was out early walking the dog & thru the trees I could see the moon, big & round & bright as a cars headlamp, & yet in the opposite direction the sun was rearing up all pink & rosy. The quiet was solid. And I thought how many times Ive not noticed things ? Im so fooking buried in paying Bills, shopping etc, all that materialistic shit that I forgot the beautiful things around me that have been there for 1000s of years & will still be there in 1000s of years to come So then I thought "oh fook the Bills & everything else!" why do I let myself get so bogged down by things we as humans have made for ourselves ? Open yer fooking eyes & see what the world really is !

Sunset earlier on from where I live
This is the Belle Tout, it was used in "Loves & lives of a She Devil" on TV. it was moved back from the cliff edge some years ago & by the looks of things it may have to be moved again
Cows along the Marsh road between Eastbourne & Norman's Bay where William the conk landed when he got the hump with Briton

They look like young cows to me. All looking at the photographer with actual curiosity. They seem to lose that with age.

No Halfy Im walking distance from Eastbournes notorious Beachy Head or "Lovers ( last ) Leap" All along this coastal part of the country is sat on chalk, so its easy to mistake as it all looks the bloody same ! As for Blue birds ? All weve got is sodding seagulls, maybe bluebird was a code during the war ???
