Well it hasnt happened since the RTD years.
Moffat has used them quite sparigly- they arent in series 5 at all except for the lone sentry at the Pandorica. They are only in 2 in series 7 one a cameo in the opening of GMGTW and in Closing Time they arent invading just trying to repair.
Their first proper episode under Moffat wasnt until series 7 Nightmare in Silver and its set on another world entirely.
Anyone catch the St Pauls steps with cyberman stomping down it reference from 2nd Doctor cyberman story The Invasion?

I would have preffered it if it were the Rani or a new character,

- I'm not too keen on the idea of transgender regeneration myself (esp for the Doctor) but the Master got kinda boring after a while, and Michelle Gomez is a very good actress (she can't be any worse then Jon 'Batshit Crazy' Simm's version...) it may end being a badly written gimmick (I know you...aren't keen on Moffat's writing for Women...), subject to the BBC's PC friendly culture (I wouldn't be surprised if this were a test for a female doctor down the line), but it could be an interesting twist on a rather tired character, if not, well it might shut up some of the crazy Tumblr crowd...

Yeah Invasion. There is also a cheeky comment to a 4th Doctor story whose name escapes me at the moment, but it opens with a scrolling text and the Doctor narrating it the same text- just like the display for 3W and the Doctor says "Why have the scrolling and the voice?"

- I am surprised at your objection to a female Master. Under Moffat he wrote into canon by putting in an episode for the first time conformation a Time Lord can regenerate into a different sex- the Corsair- that it was possible. Laying the groundwork for a potential female Doctor at some point.
Now Moffat has shown that onscreen, and with a long standing character (going back to the 3rd Doctor for his/her first appearance) to give the audience a chance to get used to and accept the idea.
He has done more than any other show runner in 50 years to lay the ground for a future female Doctor. And still he is attacked for it. It baffles me.

- I think the point of Danny was to take someone with a lot of emotion bottled up because thats exactly what cybermen take from you. That way the offer he is made at the end is genuinely tempting. Just delete all those emotions, all the guilt, or the loss, all the love too, no more pain, ever inside or out once your in your flesh of steel.
Danny has to see himself as a victim at this point, of his own emotional state which he can now purge at the press of a button.
But I think we have yet to see the best of Danny, there is an hour worth of finale to come yet.

Good Point, I just think they could have made more of him, given 12's self loathing/antagonism towards soldiers, I just don't really care what happens to him to be honest.

- I'm still unsure how to feel about a female Master, I don't necessarily object to a woman playing the part, it's just hard to see how they can treat it as a natural extension of the same character Delgrado played without thinking 'Oh it's a woman now, maybe we should make a big point about how inclusive we are being'-I've already seen complaints the first thing Missy does it have a flirty kiss with the Doctor...it's kind of hard to get you head round when many writers of the series look at them as brothers/close relatives

- I couldnt believe how bad taste it was, I mean, cremated people feeling pain?!, its quite disgusting, insulting to the people we have lost and Moffat has a duty of care to his viewers kids as well as adults, I thought he stepped over the line big time. Using the Death of Danny in a car accident! also pretty crass.
