I'll put my thoughts into some sort of vaguely coherent review later, but overall I thought that was very strong and dealt with some very troubling themes with a maturity NuWho has rarely tried to reach before.

- As usual, no complaints. Thought it might be the Master when she first asked if the Doc knew who she was. Liked the Cyberman idea. Using human skeletons now, hey! But what about the pleas not to be cremated? What that mean, I wonder? Very interesting episode --- and if all the threads don't end up joining, I don't care. You see, I've been watching a fair bit of Classic Who and threads don't always join perfectly. It don't matter as long as the stories are watchable, methinks. Danny Pink is annoying - but that makes him human. Petty annoys me - but I still like him (even if he's Scottish). I fear Clara is on the way out --- hope I'm wrong....

Its part of the con as it were- they need the bodies to put in the cybermen- ashes are no good they need bodies to cyberconvert before they put the emotionally purged minds back in. Though it doesnt sound much fun for the minds involved if you are burnt as you still feel it
(one of the most chilling lines for me was just before that reveal when you hear the blood curling scream and Seb comments "Sounds like someone left their body to science"

Yeah I thought Moffat hit the balance right on the head between the emotional stuff, the disturbing stuff and the touches of humour. One of his best in fact with regard to getting the mix right.
I think next weeks being an hour long as well has given the time to tell a full tale.

But Im excited about the next super dooper episode 
Tho the next thing is, I dont want to hear Capaldi isnt being the Dr for long That would just about piss me off. I also get an icky feeling Clara is slowing letting go. Danny is playing a laid back 'go with the flow' sorta guy, hes bland & doesnt get ruffled but then its cos hes seen & felt enough in real war to see things differently, I didnt like him at first but now, Im warming to him

In fact, the awkwardness in speaking openly and honestly between he and Clara is irritating too. Which makes it all the better to watch them. I sometimes feel like yelling: "Blurt it out! Blurt it out!" But then they'd know I was watching and listening to them -- and that would be a bit too intrusive of me, what!

Not sure I'm reading this right. Do you mean 'comedian' in the character is a bit jokey in his replies, or do you mean 'comedian' as in the actor playing him Chris Addison started out as a stand up (and I think occasionally still does some).
If the latter he is these days more an actor, director as well as producer. He starred alongside Capaldi in the Thick of It for four seasons and he directs and is a producer on the US political satire Veep.
I thought it was a bit of a scoop getting him to be honest and loved his portrayal of Seb. I suspect Capaldi being the Doctor may have had something to do with him wanting to take the part.

I wondered a bit about the Cybermen inclusion. Does the Master have some tie in with them from earlier in the series? Because it seemed a bit like.. cram in arbitrary iconic show monster..

I dont think there has been a cyberman Master team up before. But thats no bad thing.
On the otherhand meglomaniac insane schemes to break the Doctors favourite toy, earth, whilst grinning like a loon and chewing up the scenery, has always been what the Master was all about.
