Re: Future releases [2]
It's the name of a long-running Batman/Superman team-up comic, but yeah, it lacks widespread name-recognition. To be fair, people used to give that same reason for why "The Dark Knight" or "Man of Steel" wouldn't work as movie titles, but I think those nicknames are probably considerably better known.
I actually never got around to seeing MoS because it didn't sound all that good (despite some encouraging trailers), but I'll probably see it in preparation for BvS if not sooner. I'm curious to see how DC's long-term game plan turns out, although "plan" might be a bit strong of a word.

Re: Future releases [2]
I don't think the new Batman/Superman thing is going to be good from what I've heard about how many characters are going to show up in there. Wonder Woman is supposed to show up when she really should get her own movie; then I think Cyborg, of all people, will show up too for some reason...

Re: Future releases [2]
Um shouldn't Superman just kick Batman's arse about the place in a very short fight? I mean he is a super man and Batmans just a rich nutjob with a black leather fetish and a love of committing extreme violence on the poor.

Well, in Hush, Batman had a ring with Kryptonite in it that he used when he fought Superman. In that story, Supes had actually given the ring to Batman himself so Bats could stop him if he was ever corrupted or tricked. I dunno what plot devices and/or explanations they'll use in this film, though, since it sounds like Batman and Superman don't previously know each other.

Title aside, Rise of the Planet of the Apes was a good movie, so I'm looking forward to Dawn.

It's not as bad (good) as one of the LOTR video games, which according to Guinness as the longest game title of all time.

Re: Future releases [2]
I've heard barely anything about the forthcoming Warcraft movie but apparently it finished filming already. We're still almost two years away from its release date, though. Taking their time in post, I guess. Normally I wouldn't have any faith whatsoever in a fantasy video game adaptation, but it's from the director of Moon and Source Code, so maybe it'll be alright? Could be the shot in the arm that cinematic fantasy needs. (I doubt it will be.)

Re: Future releases [2]
I'll watch it, but I don't really have any expectations. All the games have been great, and there's tons of lore in the Warcraft universe, so there's definitely potential for a very good film. And if the first one does well, there's plenty of lore to base more movies on

Re: Future releases [2]
So this is being released really soon, but I saw the reviews on it and wanted to share. I had been seeing trailers of this for months now, and assumed it wasn't going to be particularly good.
I've had to adjust my expectations slightly after all these positive comments:

Re: Future releases [2]
I thought it looked predictable and lame. Emily Blunt is great of course, but the action sequences seemed so gratuitous that I expected something inferior.

Re: Future releases [2]
I have see that armour stuff before in Elysium, a really lame film. It looks like a hodge podge of various other filmsstuck together, maybe War of the Worlds-Elysium-Minority Report-and Groundhog Day as the cherry on top.

Re: Future releases [2]
And yet it apparently works very well as a blockbuster action film.
