Take your pick! It sounds like some sort of ranty thing, so the definition probably doesn't matter.

Apparently the two-parter will take place over two nights. The first night will be Dr. Who, the second will be the Geese-hunting or whatever.

I had tried to link the announcement page, but I was tired and posted it as a picture.  Rolling Eyes

Bonus footage though, can't be bad.
(well ok it can, but one must hope... That goose-mating thing better have Tennant hang-gliding with pelicans or something worthwhile.)

'The Doctor Who fiftieth Anniversary story The Day of the Doctor has won the Audience Award at the 2014 BAFTA Television awards.
Doctor Who last won the audience award in 2006 when it was given the Pioneer Audience Award for Best Programme of 2005.'- Gallifrey Base

cheers Well done Mr Moffat and all the folks who made it.  pub

Moffat sweated over writing this one by all accounts and told his wife if people didn't like it he would probably have to leave the country!
An immensely difficult episode to create under such enormous pressure from fans and the BBC who were gambling on this one with the cinema promo worldwide and the worlds largest ever TV simu broadcast, just huge expectation to work under.
And in my view he achieved far more in it than he failed at.
And its easily the best Anniversary Special in the shows 50 year run  Nod

My favourite review:
Ray P Muniz wrote:I gotta say, Peter Capaldi blows away all expectations...not only does he not know how to fly the TARDIS, but he simply doesn't know how to control his mouth from dropping "F" bombs. Still, where Capaldi starts off as something of a "Reckless Bloke way to absorbed in his mid-life crisis", Clara proves to be a divine source of assistance for our beloved new Doctor.

This series sees the return of Jon Simm's Master where after a near 10 minute speech about drums suddenly regenerates into-get this-BENEDICT CUMBERBATCH!!!! Gods, it was epic! Oh and before you think no one could chew scenery more than Jon Simms, Cumberbatch goes full Smaug and damn well roasts, chews, and swallows the scenery, taking the Doctor and Clara into an epic two-part episode back in Medieval Scotland which also stars Richard Madden (Robb Stark from Game of Thrones) and a silly romance subplot between him and Clara.

One of my favorite episodes of the series was "Pompei O'Lay" which Capaldi travels back to Rome and visits his past life and which sees a special guest appearance from both Donna (Catherine Tate) and the 10th Doctor (David Tennant). Another would be the one where CHRISTOPHER ECCELSTON'S 9th Doctor makes an appearance...for three minutes (sadly that was all the time Chris would spare on the show).

We also see the return of the Daleks (yeah, like we'd ever do a season without them), Cybermen, and even the Weeping Angels with a surprise visit from Karen Gillan as Amy Pond!!! I know you're thinking this isn't possible, but all I can say is "LOL, there's so many plot-holes in the new series you could drive a TARDIS through all of them)

All in all, it's epic thrill ride through some amazing new places, old and new foes alike all with the laughs, giggles, terrors, chills, and plenty of tears to be shed (and swearing, can't forget that) all which, heartbreakingly, leads to Capaldi's regeneration (a venture just as short as Chris Eccelston's Doctor back in 2005). Of course after a five minute speech where Capaldi lets loose (and I do mean lets loose) and spews out every derogatory, crude and offensive words imaginable, he regenerates into HOLYF***KING S*** MARK STRONG!!!!! Mark ganders at his hands whilst saying "Ooo, such lovely new hands" to which Mark then turns to Clara and exclaims "And you are?"

Trust me when I say that this was one of the most memorable season, it was so much I actually wish someone had pinched me because I feel I must have been dreaming

And I was....no seriously this series hasn't even aired yet. Still, that was an enjoyable read wouldn't you agree?

Although, this is a close second:
C. Ellis wrote:Also, the revelation of The Doctor's real name being Steven Moffat came as a huge surprise!

Oh gosh.
Amy wrote:Revealing that the Doctor's name is actually Cobra Bubbles Christ has caused some controversy within the fandom, but I think it is a brilliant twist that makes perfect sense!

Trailers (all together in one vid) for the cant recommend it highly enough radio drama, 'I, Davros.'

In order the trailers are for each of the 4 episodes- Innocence, Purity, Corruption, Guilt.

More than worth the effort of tracking it down.

Yeah the idiots lantern. Not sure who plays the young Davros- but the trailer doesn't do the series justice- it really is very good indeed.

How much do you pay on average for a Big Finish story? I really do appreciate the work they do, but I can't justify playing a tenner for a story I'll only listen to (most likely) once or twice...

Yup well spotted Forest- but he doesn't seem to be in I Davros, at least he doesn't appear in the cast listing- the only actor down for Davros is Terry Molloy, who played the character on TV too in the latter classic Who era.

Malick they seem to be a fiver an episode direct from BF- which seems a bit steep. (Alternatively PM me about it!)

Weird, he isnt listed in the BF cast list for some reason- but he does an excellent job in it- keeps Davros just the right side of disturbing without making him evil or unlikeable- you just get more and more uncomfortable in his company as it goes on, which is much more disturbing.

It looks hot for that kind of clothing!

Also, it's not a good sign of the new Doctor's... newness if, in the first image of him that I see, he's wearing Tennants old space-suit. At least that's what it looks like to me.

Not Tennants, the Doctors- 11 wears it in Hide. And this episode is quite late in the series so not going to be something you see in the first episodes of 12's run (unless they muck about with the episode order).
