Re: Critics review 'Desolation of Smaug' | POSSIBLE SPOILERS
I think the Coven works way too hard to get words in and thinks it passes for Tolkien. Remember the very contorted "shortcut, to....mushrooms!"
So they think by getting in an equally contorted visual play at Smaug the Golden they are paying a homage that Tolkien fans will appreciate. Well....

Forgetting that if they actually decided telling Tolkiens story they wouldn't need to.

{{{ What? You responded to encryption brackets out in the open? That's like accidentally pressing 'reply all'. }}}

Re: Critics review 'Desolation of Smaug' | POSSIBLE SPOILERS
Is everyone else smelling peppermint? Good, very good.
So that jogs my memory that there perhaps has not been a recent lesson on the use of encryption brackets. I know there's a previous lesson somewhere, but I can't be arsed to find it, but if someone could post a history it would be great.
Mind you, for some people who I won't mention {{{ Figgy }}} their technological ineptitude makes this a pointless exercise, but we have so many newbies who may misuse the technology that a full explanation is in order. Here's the SOP:
1. Encryption brackets can only be read by the person to whom they are intended (Queen Tin being the exception due to royal prerogative).
2. The intended reader (or readers) is often hardcoded by the use of the name, but advanced users can employ 'implicit intention', whereby it is obvious who the intended reader is. Implicit Intention is best used when excluding a member from the intended readers list, usually Norc.
The I.I. mechanism is rather abstract, so an example is provided.
-----
Norc: "Why the flying fuck is it snowing outside? I was planning on a sunny day for painting. There's only so much sun left this year. Crappy weather, crappy meteorologist...fuck my life. "
-----
Experienced user: "{{{ She gets moody this time of year. }}} "
----
3. A minimum of three curly brackets is required for encryption, more may be used for extremely sensitive material.
4. nesting is permitted, though the use of implicit intention when nesting is an advanced skill, not to be attempted lightly. For example:
----
Petty: " PJ can roll down Erebor in a spiked bucky barrel for all I care. "
----
Advanced user: Agreeable sentiment, Petty!
{{{ Though to be honest I think Petty's imagery could benefit from being salted with some of Norc's language {{{ you think she learned it in school? }}} }}}
Edit: hmm...a sticky note on implicit intention: could everyone read those encryption brackets, or have you been seeing empty space? I was trying to get them to been open to everyone, but don't see this exact case in the user's manual.

Oh, you're just one of the most colorful characters, need some mechanism to talk about you behind your back. Like the squirrilfurlous script we use on Petty.

Yep, nothing makes you feel like your life is on the way to nowhere more than eating in an empty Denny's.

Well, the Denny's wasn't really empty as it was over New Years Eve/New Years Day, and I wasn't there alone. But still, anytime at a Denny's fells like that.

I know its the holiday season, but lay off on the Peppermint!!!
[[[[[[[[[[{{{{{{I like to make everyone think I can't read their encryptions. That way they don't filter them }}}}}}}}}}}}]]]]]]]]]]]
I remember my friend ordered one of the Hobbit meals and asked for no mushrooms. The waitress replied saying that they came in the package so she couldn't take them out. Now I know how fresh cooked the veggies are!

The Denny's promotion seems forced. It's too bad there was no Return Of The King promotion with White Castle.

I don't recall seeing it myself, but there was a Lord of the Onion Rings promotion with Burger King back in 2001
{{{I don't think it was actually called that though.}}}
