Hm. Might try and do that, Ringo. With one of them at least.

I had never heard that version of "Old Man" before. Great stuff.
This might be my favorite CSN and sometimes Y song:

That's one of my favourites too, Eldo.
The guitar playing, the feel.. Easily my favourite version.
This is also good from the guitar jam perspective.

That one cuts away before the end though. The whole thing is here, sans video.

Yeah. They are pretty hopeless, though I think Neil likes exactly that simplicity. He doesn't want playing licks and showing off.
That reminds me of how he recorded Helpless with Crosby Stills Nash. Apparently he had them playing it over and over until people stopped fooling around too much. Or to use his own words.
"Recorded in San Francisco about 4 a.m. when everybody got tired enough to play at my speed."

Re: Music [2]
P.S, "Cop Land" came out in 1997, well before LOTRs, so, did Howard shore merely rehash some of his previous music, ie from "Cop Land" for LOTRs ? cos it sounds bloody familiar to me ?? !!

"I used to sing, but things have changed" Jokes aside though, Dylan is still great. I saw him in concert three or four years ago, and he did a fantastic version of "A Hard Rain" - it was the highlight of the entire concert for me.
Azriel - you're absolutely right Very similar indeed. Is it a good film? Judging by the actors it should be worth a watch at least.

Re: Music [2]
Yes Ringo, it isnt a bad film at all. As you say, its got a list of top actors so, it should be worth it ! I liked the fact Sly Stallone was just an ordinary, easy going guy in this, not the HURH ! muscle bound, snarl lip, Rambo-esque, monosyllabic Grunter we've seen in other films The music in that film got me !!! It was by Howard Shore & it was TO much like LOTRs, which came much later !

Yeah. he certainly lost his voice to a degree. Though for some songs like that I'm guessing it's actually remarkably effective.

Couldn't find the recording of the concert I went to, but it was very similar to this:

Re: Music [2]
I actually found a recording of the song I downloaded from Youtube after the concert. It's been taken down now, but I could try to post it here. Is it possible to upload videos on forums (like you can with pictures)? In my opinion it's a lot better than the version I posted above, so I'd love to share it.
