Yeah that's linda how it feels like. I have read the discussion though, i'm just too tired to reply
Re: Music [2]
Well, I'm not sure how interesting a read that can have been.
Good to hear your performance went well. I guess it's easy to feel a bit underappreciated sitting in the orchestra pit. Though not today.

I was in a performing arts school, and our orchestra used to get rented out to play for other high school graduations. Endless pomp and circumstance. We used to bet on the exact minute the last person would cross the stage: a dollar a guess, winner takes all. I think our conductor started it.

A way of dealing with the tediousness of the event, I guess. And I presume they were betting on when the thing would be over (?) I can almost feel your boredom from here, Halfwise. All these years later.
From my little experience of sitting in the orchestra pit, like I don't mention that enough , I don't think I ever experienced anything but complete appreciation of the Orchestra. Quite the opposite from the opera singers and so on. Which is why I, as I said above, would put any lack of appreciation down to ignorance mostly.

For Norc and her viola:

And such a nice young man doing the fiddle thing. I wonder if anyone else has retained his services? When I send my man Ferguson round to bid I shall certainly be remiss if I neglect to ask him to make inquiries.

Re: Music [2]
There's something about the sound of the viola as opposed to the violin. Something that resonates a lot.. particularily when played like that.
You don't know of any 45 million dollar guitars on the market, Halfwise? I might not be looking.

Re: Music [2]
That's rather beautiful. And you're doing the violin solo? *gulp*
One can probably get a better impression of it from this.

Re: Music [2]
You're probably right though.
Best of luck. I struggled with the thing at the top of the last page for comparison.

Re: Music [2]
haha...well, i am currently struggling with a little dustbunny living inside my violin..
Re: Music [2]
I was going to compliment you for coming up with a funny translation, but then I googled it and learned that it's actually called "dustbunny" in English as well - that's even funnier

Yes, but they normally live under beds.
And it's pretty good to have come up with 'dustbunny' rather than 'little dirt rabbit'.

I found a dead bumblebee in my guitar once. I have no idea when or how it got there.

Re: Music [2]
One could say when one has gotten to the point in a relationship where one does that kind of stuff to eachother it's well past the point of no return.
Though some might argue it's a good and conflict free way of dealing with frustration, I guess.
Not sure I would though.

I wrote 3 songs yesterday. (And they're not all that bad either. )
