I'm not a Star Trek fan, but that was good, I have to admit. Smile

Found a series of parody music videos like this one: the Epic Rap Battles of History. For those wary of such things, there is some language and assorted inappropriate content, but I find them hilarious. Justin Bieber vs Beethoven! Laughing

Some more ST:TNG doing what it should do. Here the issue of torture. I'm posting two vids to do it justice.

Love the kinks! Good choice Ally.

Still in a Shakespeare mood- heres Brannagh in Henry V- not one of the famous speeches but one of my own favourite bits- Henry sets up and unmasks 3 traitors- he knows they are traitors, as does everyone else in the room- they don't know anyone knows. Shakespeare genius, and of course wonderful lines.
'How now gentlemen, what see you in those letters that you lose so much complexion?'

Brannagh again but not Shakespeare. Although a dramatization for tv the speech given here is genuine and was the actual speech given by Colonel Tim Collins to the British Troops sent into Iraq, I wonder if the US troops got anything comaprable. But then given the prisoner abuse et all, I doubt it.

Another from Henry V,(last one I promise, I just love Shakespeare). Brian Blessed being an ambassador. Even as a Scots hobbit I wouldn't **** with Brian Blessed in armour in a hurry. He's like a human tank.

From one of my favourite stones albums! I love the stones, though I'd probably prefer Pink Floyd/The Kinks/Beach Boys/ even the Yardbirds! But great song there in paint it black.

Just recalled some long lost memory, thinking back to yr9 science, and then it stuck me! Amazing lyrics, amazing melody and really useful for science tests on the electromagnetic spectrum!

Any manufacturing/dance teachers at your school- if there is, I'd recommend this to them!

Got to say, despite Green Day's emo appearance, many of their songs are great Smile They have some really good lyrics if you can avoid looking at their silly make-up Wink

Came to think about this song the other day when I was contemplating (study Laughing) how the U.S. government and presidents tend to play world police sometimes:

I can understand that this isn't everyone's type of music, but the lyrics are great. So, if you skipped the song, here are the lyrics Very Happy:

Nuclear arms in the Middle East
Israel's attacking the Iraqis
The Syrians are mad at the Lebanese
And Baghdad does whatever she please
Looks like another threat to world peace
For the envoy

Things got hot in El Salvador
CIA got caught and couldn't do no more
He's got diplomatic immunity
He's got a lethal weapon that nobody sees
Looks like another threat to world peace
For the envoy
Send the envoy
Send the envoy

Whenever there's a crisis
The President sends his envoy in
Guns in Damascus
Woah, Jerusalem

Nuclear arms in the Middle East
Israel is attacking the Iraqis
The Syrians are mad at the Lebanese
And Baghdad do whatever she please
Looks like another threat to world peace
For the envoy
Send the envoy . . .
Send for me

One of my all time favourite music videos, a great tune, Christopher Walken proving those early years as a dancer weren't wasted and lyrics based on Frank Herbert's Dune.
Oh and if you've ever done controlled dreaming and deliberately flown- this is pretty damn close. In fact its the dream quality of this I enjoy the most I think.

I don't usually watch programmes designed to please pre-pubescent girls, but Glee is awesome! I wouldn't go out of my way to watch it, but when I have seen it, it's great!

Being a huge Lennon fan, this had got to be one of my favourite songs they've ever done and it always brings me close to tears! Smile
