No... carnival wouldnt have been our first choice.

Figgy... you live anywhere near Rome or Florence? Think we stop there for a day each. Not going until August next year so got a few more before then.

The ship looks pretty amazing. Not entirely sure how they float the things!

Sure it is Florence. If everyone else gets off the boat too then sure we will just go on a tour... but might get off on my own if the others dont.

Sure it said Florence.

Just realized I neglected to check in. I'm in Cairo now for a few days, then off to Kilimanjaro via Nairobi. May not poke my head back in here for a couple weeks, just didn't want any search parties being sent out. I could probably use one, though. Cairo's a damnably confusing place: no grid, and despite the guidebook's promises, most streets do not have western names on the signs. can't cipher out the Arabic. Wish me luck.

I'm looking forward to hearing Halfy's adventures. bounce In the mean time I should probably mention that I'll be up to my ears in cranberry harvest for the next month, so I may a bit scarce here for a while. It looks like a big crop!

Pfft, go back to your bridge Petty you Scots-troll!

Anyway I've been busy with work the last two weeks. I got a road construction job working with my brother, and although it pays ridiculously well I am very tired by the end of the day and don't have much free-time. I had to work Saturday this weekend, and didn't get online until tonight.
Anyway, I'll be around, just not so much. The large weekly checks will have to be enough solace. Razz

Actually the water's nicely chlorinated in Cairo, so it's not an issue and I've even firmly put it to the test. Communal cups and all.
